The interior of the car was dimly lit, and upon hearing Chu You's words, Nian Yuyu subconsciously looked at his calm, black eyes. After a second of eye contact, a sense of guilt inexplicably surged from the depths of her heart.
Her response was somewhat stammered, "Yes, I was... chatting with him."
Just as the traffic light turned green, Chu You didn't say anything else but simply restarted the car and sped off.
Nian Yuyu felt something was amiss. She noticed her cellphone screen light up again with a new message from Fu Nian, but she didn't reply, instead becoming extremely well-behaved and quiet, occasionally stealing glances at the man driving.
The sedan journeyed on through the pitch-black night, with the city's neon lights flashing by outside the windows.
Once they arrived at Jing'an Garden, Nian Yuyu got out of the car, standing outside and waving to Chu You, "Then, should I go up first?"
Chu You nodded slightly, his eyes and brow slightly cold.
