Chương 47: Chapter 47: Golden Spot.
"So, what should we do for fun today?" Paige asked Simon after their breakfast. They were seated in the sitting room watching a music video.
"What do you have in mind?" Simon asked looking at her.
"Mmmmmm, maybe a tour of the house for starters." She replied.
"But Annabel already took you on a tour round the whole house. Just tell me that you enjoy my company so much that you'd want a repeat by me." He said smiling.
Paige rolled her eyes. "What if she missed some places?" She asked.
"Do you want me to take you on a tour of the house then?" He asked her.
Paige didn't give him an answer immediately. She thought about it and came to conclusion that might feel extra special of she said yes so she didn't. "No thank you." She replied. "I guess Anna really did a great job during the tour." She replied. Simon let out a deep chuckle as he understood what she did. "I'd rather we see a movie." She further said.
"Okay, would you rather we see one on this television or visit a cinema in town or the one here?" He asked her.
"Let's use the mini cinema here." She said. "It's so comfy and not too large. I'd love to experience what it actually feel like seeing a movie in there." She answered.
Simon smiled at her. "You mean you'd love to experience what it actually feel like to see a movie with me in there? I think you forgot to add me to the sentence." Simon told her smiling.
"You think so highly of yourself Simon Kentley." She called him.
"People tell me that often. But I'd like to take yours as a compliment." He said in reply. Paige warmed up to him and drew closer. "So, do you have a movie in mind?" He asked her.
"No, I'd love you to surprise me with something nice." She replied.
"Sunflower, I'll tell you this, you might not like my type of surprise." He warned her.
"Let me worry about that. Surprise me f.i.n.e b.o.y." she said emphatically.
"Fine boy, that's a new one. I'd take it that I'm making progress. So you mean to say that you'll love my type of movies? They might bore you" He said.
"Try me." She replied.
"What's your preferred type of movie?
"I'll tell you after the surprise. So, surprise me Simon." She replied.
Simon looked at her for a while. Her lips were curved in a mischievous smile and he knew she was teasing him. This Paige sitted opposite him was a new Paige. The type he just discovered by trying not to be an ass and an idiot like he usually is. "Very well. Sherman!" He called. Sherman wno was already standing at the door came forward.
"Yes sir." He answered.
"Please, prepare the mini cinema. We'd love to see a movie together." Sherman nodded and left to carry out the order that he was given.
Few minutes later, they made their way to the mini cinema after being notified by Sherman that the whole place was in good shape. Simon got two bottles of Once they entered, they met it well kept and tidy with the lights on. Simon assisted Paige to assume a comfortable sitting position while he left to turn off the lights. The theatre was not so big but was comfortable and cozy. It was built to house at most 25 people comfortably. The seats were padded with soft foams and covered with a red velvet material. Towards the right houses a mini power house where the engineering room is located. The air conditioners were placed at the end of each wall and the temp were slightly increased to prevent excessive cold.
Simon locked the two doors leading in and out of the theatre. He then went into the mini power house and started the movie afterwhich he came back to join Paige in the theatre. He sat two seats away from Paige after giving her a bottle of soda from the ones he came with. As the movie started with names of the cast, he stole a glance at Paige. Obviously, he knew that the movie was either going to get her pissed off or relaxed which actually depend on her own definition of relaxation. Paige looked at him with an innocent smile. "I guess it's safe to say that I bite right? I mean judging from your distance, there is no need for long question." Paige told him.
He laughed out softly. "I'll just stay here." He replied. "It's better for us." Just then, the movie started and Paige got caught up with it. She sipped her soda slowly as the movie went on while Simon relaxed his back on the seat with his legs crossed ignoring the remaining soda he had. The movie screen which was the only source of light illuminated on her neon top and halfway to the movie, the first sex scene came on screen. Paige stared at the screen with a knowing smile. She knew he was definitely up to something with the way he kept stressing about his type of movie. She wasn't really surprised.
She turned to Simon who feigned seriousness and focused on the screen finally sipping his soda. The lead actor and actress in the movie were a couple.
