Alex arrived at an estate, each building in this estate is next to the other, the place looked congested but each apartment was beautiful, Alex was not here to check out how beautiful the apartments are. He's not supposed to do this if Ben or his other assistants were not busy, visiting Vandlar Orleans', New Zealand's most lazy man should not be the first thing one would do in the morning.
Over here he's not called Alex or Mr. Wilson, but 'The Mighty Mongrel Mob'. He stepped into the cozy apartment which stood alone amongst the rest of the tall buildings, only to get hold of the most disgusting sight he's ever seen in his existence. Vandlar. "Why don't you tell me what the fuck is going on here Vandlar?"
The blonde-haired man jumped off the bed covering his naked self at the same time picking his gun from his headboard and putting a hole in the women's body, hoping his action would appease the man before him. But Alex was unfazed about his action, he was rather fuming inside, cause of the strange call he got on his way here.
"Tell me what the hell happened Vandlar?" "They got lucky, it won't happen again you got nothing to worry Mongrel." He bowed slightly. Alex is a dangerous being who gets angry easily and lacks patience, if he needs something, it must be done that instant. He kills without any remorse, Vandlar has seen how heartless and cruel men are, but none are compared to this man.
"They got fu**ing lucky, is that all you have to say? They got fu**ing lucky?" "I warned you those people were good, I warned you about your sluggishness!" He moved his fingers through his hair letting out a heavy sigh.
"It won't last Mongrel, it won't last with them..." "The exchange is blown and so is you, the Russians will not tolerate last-minute changes so will my buyers, how did they find out?" His voice was raised a bit "Calm down Mongrel, I'll get you a new exchange same goes for the buyers." His words irked Alex more than ever.
"You know why you'd always remain second place Vandlar?" He deeped his hands in his pocket, "Prejudice, small-minded prejudice. My buyers are not your hotties, empires are destroyed from within. I'm merely accelerating the process." "Alright it doesn't make you any less dangerous to be around, but like I said you've got nothing to worry Mongrel."
"I'll handle everything, you don't need to worry." Alex stared down at him lazily, "Three days to correct your mistake or you'd get missing, don't fail me." He stepped out of the apartment and into his car. The last thing Alex wanted was to start a war with another group, especially now he has a lot to lose. His kids, Hazel they're all very important to him.
Moving into the Mafia world is one thing, and being a Don in it is another, but he's no Mafia lord or Don, he's just respected by these street men cause of the connections and powers he's acquired.
Alex owns an organization for guns, a place where they buy guns in bulk directly from the manufacturers which he is still working on starting his gun factory, they sell the guns out to different parts of the world. It's only hidden cause it's illegal, this is one of the reasons he carries multiple bodyguards around him. The old warehouse he took Hazel to, is one of his many hidden locations to place the guns each time they arrive in the country.
The world itself is a cruel place, people who do genuine businesses amount to nothing, in a space of 8_10 years, they just go bankrupt cause the higher-ups want them out. Alex has won a seat in the higher-ups at a very young age cause of his father, this is why he ventures into multiple businesses to cover up his crimes.
Even if the police hold no ground on arresting him, he still has to hide what he does so it wouldn't sound unfair to the society, thereby destroying his image and the legacy he spent years building.
.
I quickly signed the papers given, we were finally separated. I am no longer Mrs. Wilson, no longer a part of that family. All I've ever wanted is a happy family, a family far from troubles, but I guess life's not a fairy-tale. Life turns out the opposite of what you want it to be, it's not always a bed of roses, and even if it is roses have thorns. I watched the man before I fold the divorce papers with a smile on his lips.
I couldn't define my feelings at that point, but I know I was neither happy nor sad. "I guess we're done here, I should be taking my leave now Mrs. Huxley, thanks for your time." He bowed slightly before leaving.
Leah holding my legs and trying to climb my body distracted me from my thoughts and my lips curled into a smile, at least I know we both share a special bond since her father left, same as her brothers.
Her cute smile was all I wanted to see after my separation from Alex, I helped her on my legs as she watched tears flow down my eyes. I shouldn't be in this state, I shouldn't be crying for him, "Mummy, mummy don't cry, let's go to wonderland, or Disney." She started blinking her black eyes as she stared at me.
"Mummy, do you want ice cream?" She arranged my hair, taking each strand backward. Her action had me chuckling. The sound of my vibrating phone distracted us both and I had to check who was calling. Maybe it's Carie who said she'd be visiting by noon, or possibly Sage since I left her all alone in my room.
I picked it up and, "Get the phone off your ears I need to talk to the kids." Oh, G*d, I could recognize that voice anywhere, he can't see me in this state, not when I'm crying, I can't appear weak before this man. "DADDY!" Leah's scream got the others running from their rooms.
