Chương 4: Shameless Woman, Quickly Put Some Clothes On!
Was the relationship between this mother and daughter so bad that no one mentioned this child to him up until now?
Xu Ming's eyes lingered on the name for a bit more before speaking up, "Can I remain here for one week before moving away?"
Unexpectedly hearing such a simple request, Madame Xu was inwardly surprised before agreeing with a light nod since there was no harm in letting her stay here for another week anyways.
No one could read Xu Ming's mood when she made this request. Others only saw her no longer hesitate as she placed her right thumb on the pad ink before pressing it on the paper.
Almost immediately, Madame Xu quickly secured the paper in her hands as if afraid that someone would destroy it. After checking that the fingerprint was clear and accurate, she together with the lawyer immediately walked away.
Completely forgetting the fact that Xu Ming did not know the way back to her room.
Staring at their retreating backs, Xu Ming took one last sip of the cold tea before unhurriedly walking away to ask for directions from the servants.
However, Xu Ming underestimated Su Ming's notorious reputation in this house.
It was as if they had a radar to detect his location so Xu Ming never encountered a single person while walking around the ground floor.
Deciding that it was best to wait in the living room, Xu Ming was about to turn around at a corner when something suddenly bumped into his legs.
Realizing that it was a small child, Xu Ming hurriedly reached out to grab her small hand to stabilize her footing in case she fell backward.
Xu Ming was adept at fighting so he knew how to handle his strength well. He applied as little strength as possible so that the kid wouldn't get hurt.
As Xu Ming knelt on one knee to be at the same eye level as the little girl, he softly asked, "Are you okay?"
The little girl had long straight black hair, fair skin with rosy cheeks, and a pair of big round eyes. Her small lips were the same color as a cherry with a face shape that held a striking resemblance to Su Ming's.
Xu Ming's eyes slightly shook the moment he figured out this adorable little girl's identity.
What should he say as her 'mother'?
As Xu Ming was pondering this question, the change in the little girl's expression promptly pulled him back from his thoughts.
Her lips faded in color. She quickly yanked her small hand away from his grasp and hastily stepped back in a few steps.
To begin with, Xu Ming was loosely holding onto her hand so the little girl could break free from him easily. Realizing what she had done, her face became even paler. Tightly grabbing onto her clothes, she nervously stammered, "I-I am sorry. I didn't mean to do that."
After saying these words, Xu Mei squeezed her eyes shut as she lowered her head afraid to see her mother's angry expression.
Soon, light footsteps were heard but it was not the harsh sound of the clacking high heels that she used to hear in the past.
The footsteps were light as if afraid of startling her causing Xu Mei to confusingly open her eyes only to see a pair of white sneakers appear in her view.
Following after, Xu Mei froze in her spot the moment she seemed to feel a feather touch on top of her head.
"Don't run around in the hallway, you will get hurt."
Xu Ming was about to retract his hand when all of a sudden, he saw a pale face nanny stumbling in their direction.
Knowing that her caretaker was here, Xu Ming wordlessly turned around to walk in another direction.
Xu Mei lifted her head in disbelief to look at her mother's slender back in a simple white shirt.
Did... Did she just pat my head and was concerned about my safety?
"Little miss! Are you okay? What did she do to you?!"
Xu Mei immediately snapped out of her daze to stare at her nanny's face which was as white as a piece of paper.
The little girl was also confused about her situation so it took her a while to organize her answer, "... She patted my head and said to be careful of running around in the hallway lest I get hurt."
The nanny did not know the news of Su Ming's change in behavior, therefore, she interpreted her words wrongly and looked tearfully at her little miss.
"It is okay, don't take her words to your heart."
Xu Mei wanted to refute her words but the nanny gently rearranged her crumbled dress before pulling her into a hug and she proceeded to pick her up from the ground.
"Don't worry. Your father will arrive soon."
Feeling delighted that she could share this unbelievable news with her Daddy sooner than usual, she quickly forgot what she was about to say.
Distracting the little girl with some toys and snacks, the nanny briefly stepped out to make a report to Xu Qin.
She believed that Su Ming once again threatened the little girl to put some good words for her to the Eldest Young Master and even resorted to laying her hands on her daughter.
Therefore, Xu Ming who finally found his room not long ago did not know that a storm was coming his way.
Exactly thirty minutes later, a black Benz was seen driving at a fast speed coming through the gate of Xu mansion. Even as the car was turning, there was no telling that the speed slowed down depicting how much of a low mood the driver was currently in.
The path to the main building was wide and on both of the sidelines was a vast decorated garden with clear views so the owner of the car was not afraid of hurting anyone due to his full-speed driving.
The car finally came to a stop near the entrance followed by a tall handsome man in a custom-made three-piece suit who quickly stepped out from the driver's seat before slamming the door shut.
The man had a pair of beautiful almond-shaped eyes that looked cold and intimidating yet charmful enough to enchant others with just a light glance. Add to his high nose bridge, thin red lips and a define sharp jawline, his exquisite countenance looked as if it was carefully crafted by God, himself.
The black suit tightly hugged his well-proportions body showing off that broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and a pair of long legs oozing male pheromones attracting everyone that laid their eyes on him.
His slick black hair was pushed back but due to his hurried steps, a few strands strayed on his prominent forehead enhancing his sexiness even more.
Unfortunately, at this moment, this exceedingly handsome man had on a dark face as if there was a storm brewing inside his chest scaring off anyone who saw him.
This person was none other than the current CEO of the Xu Group, Xu Qin.
Xu Qin has always been famous for his quiet demeanor which came out as a cold and distant man. Nevertheless, he treated others with respect and politeness so the employees working for the Xu family could enjoy this eye candy without much burden from his cold mannerism.
Of course, if only his wife did not make trouble while he was away from the house.
The servants who hurried to the entrance to greet the Eldest Young Master with the butler did not dare to meet Xu Qin's eyes when he briskly walked past them without politely returning the greetings per usual.
His long legs immediately brought him to the second floor before turning to the left wing without a second thought.
The servants who saw this scene silently looked at each other.
Because the room of Eldest Young Master's wife was in that direction.
"What did Mrs. Xu do this time to make Eldest Young Master this mad?"
"Obviously, it has something to do with the Little Miss!"
"You all watch your mouth."
The Old Butler sternly warned the servants causing all of them to quickly shut their mouths.
"Don't speculate on your Master's affairs. If words of today's events were to get out, all of you here will get fired, understand?"
The servants were fearful as they quickly shouted in unison, "Understood!"
Seeing that he had scared them enough, he gave another command, "Disperse. Don't let anyone come inside the main building."
Only after finished giving his order did the Old Butler turn to look worriedly in the direction of Mrs. Xu's room.
The Old Butler used to be the Old Master's right-hand man back in the military so he has been watching over his descendants for a long time.
He trusted that Xu Qin would not use any sort of violence on his wife no matter how angry he was.
He was simply worried that the couple's relationship seemed to be really over this time.
In the meantime, Xu Qin's eyes were getting colder as he got closer to where that woman was.
He came home immediately after hearing the nanny's words. After making sure that his daughter was okay over the phone, he instantly came to settle the bills with the instigator.
Xu Qin has always been tolerating her misdeeds as he already gave up on building a happy family with her a long time ago.
As long as she did not do anything harmful to his daughter, he could turn a blind eye to what she was doing outside the house.
She has been ignoring his daughter these past years so he unconsciously let his guard down.
Who knows that even after losing her memories she still treats her daughter the same way as before?
Xu Qin soon arrived at his destination. Turning on the doorknob and realizing that it was unlocked, he quickly stormed inside without even bother knocking on the door to show his manner.
As a result of this unexpected intrusion, the scene that welcomed Xu Qin the moment he opened the door left words to be stuck in his throat.
There, stood a woman with wet black hair falling over her shoulders. Her fair skin at this moment was dyed with a pink hue due to the hot shower that she just took.
On that slender body was a white bathrobe that was loosely tied around the waist causing her prominent collarbone and cleavage to be displayed in full view.
Her red lips seemed to entice others to come and have a taste of them while her pair of Phoenix eyes languidly glanced at him sideways giving her off a lazy but charming look.
Probably because she just stepped out of the shower, her entire hazy appearance giving off an inviting look to Xu Qin.
It took Xu Qin several seconds to shut the door as he coldly said from the outside, "Shameless woman, quickly put some clothes on! We need to talk."
From the beginning to the end, Xu Ming didn't even blink his eyes.
He left the door unlocked because he told someone to bring him his meal as he has not eaten anything yet.
Who knows that someone is daring enough to come into his room without knocking beforehand?
Staring in the direction of the door as if wanting to penetrate his gaze onto the man outside. Xu Ming mocked out of speechlessness, "Being called shameless simply by undressing in my bedroom was a first for me."
