<p>DESINGING ROBOTS THAT COMBINE REMOTE CONTROL TECHNOLOGY WITH VIRTUAL AUGMENTED REALITY<br/>In designing Robots around this concept, certain things need to be taken into consideration. The reason for this design is to create robots that can be controlled remotely over great distances and capable of exploring hostile environments. <br/>The controls of the robot will be mapped unto an augmented reality device allowing the robot to be controlled remotely via the augmented reality remote. Next, the robot is equipped with cameras that map out the surroundings the robot inhabits and projects these surroundings via Virtual Reality Devices. By combining the Virtual Reality Device with the Augmented Reality Remote, a person can explore the area the robot inhabits through the robot's perspective thus they can now be present in the area the Robot inhabits and can combine this with the Augmented Reality Remote to control the Robot over great distances.<br/>This concept can be applied to unmanned vehicles designed for Space Exploration Programmes as well. However, to do this effectively, there is the need for the Robots to be able to be controlled over long distances thus Networking is very important. There will also be the need to boost signal strength so that delays in transmission of directives from a person on Earth to the Robot in space can be minimized.</p>
