<em>Logan</em>
Lycia was asleep in our bed at the Skyclaw Guardians Castle when I slipped into our room later that night. Our son Aiden was sleeping peacefully in the bassinet beside our bed. Unable to resist, I gathered her gently into my arms and softly kissed her hair. She and the baby were safe. Home. My future.
Emotion clogged my throat for a long moment as tears filled my eyes.
“It’s over,” I whispered against her hair. “Shane is gone. He can’t hurt anyone else.”
“I know.” She looked up, tears filling her eyes. “And Seven?”
A soft smile lifted my lips. “He’s now the Alpha of the Shadowcrest Warriors Pack.” I would tell her about Siren and Seven becoming Mates in the morning. Now was our time, the first time we’d had a chance to be alone since the birth of our child. “Your parents are avenged.”
Her breath left her in a sob as she clung to me fiercely.
