Chương 1: Prologue
I open my eyes. A bluish ceiling made of bricks greets me as I wake up. My neck aches slightly the moment I try to move it, but it's a bearable pain.
This is different from the room I'm used to seeing every day. There are no posters, figurines, or shelves full of video games and anime blu-rays.
Just as I expected. This is not a dream.
I remember... killing... three classmates before I woke up in this new body. What happened while I was killing them was exactly what any anime fan would crave. Those stupid fantasies where they asked to be taken to a fantasy world at some point.
My hands are not stained with blood. I know they shouldn't be, but I'm still able to feel a strange sensation... as if I still have blood on my hands and it has sunk into my fingernails.
There is no one to really forgive me. I don't deserve any kind of forgiveness and I don't need it personally.
It's a fact, I murdered those three girls. But none of that could have happened if only they hadn't exceeded the limit of my patience and if they hadn't tried to kill me first.
I had a whole night, the same night I had to clean my wound and sew centimetre by centimetre my own skin. All that night I was thinking about it... whether it would be right to kill them or not.
My choice at that point was obvious.
The moment I closed my eyes for a single instant, a pain that could be labeled "indescribable" wracked my brain in a matter of seconds.
-Agh...! Shit... gah, agh...!
I jumped to my feet, to move as fast as I could away from the point of origin of my pain... that being a hole in the ceiling through which the light leaked.
Oh, shit...
Unlike the stereotypical reincarnation stories whether it be into slimes, spiders, weapons, babies or whatever that Webn•vel users can come up with; I am in my own experience as one of the craziest creatures that could possibly exist.
One of the many classificatory branches or nouns that would be used for an [Undead]. That's me.
I am a creature of the night that burns under the rays of the sun, with incomparable skills and an insatiable desire to drink blood.
Someone like me, a NEET hikikomori who spent about a decade of her life locked in a room playing RPGs. It's hilarious to know that I had been reincarnated in the body of an [Undead].
