Chương 54: 0. Mingxia

There was a shy smile on a young man's face as he watched the waitress of a small restaurant clean the table across from that which he was sitting. He hadn't the nerve to approach her, and he knew that to pursue her romantically, or intimately, would be wrong. He had a kingdom he was meant to be the guardian of, and that required his full attention. 

This didn't stop him, however, from using his time off to go down to a human village nearby, to this exact restaurant, so that he could see her. He would never say a word, only pointing at the menu to show her what it was he was ordering, and when he received his food he never touched it. She never seemed to mind his odd behavior, however, which only made his heart grow fonder. 

After a while, the young man's attention was pulled away from what he only just realized was now only a wall, and he nervously lifted his head to see the woman he had come here to see, and yet never spoken to, all this time.
