After Creed cleared the junction, he thought of the bunker diagram and found the way down was to the left. This type of bomb bunkers were made without elevators.
Step Step.
He was very alert along the way to the staircase, he didn't have time to check each room so few soldiers could be hiding and camping for him.
Soon he came to the end of the path, a staircase leading to the fifth floor.
Very slowly he advanced down but as he reached the middle of the staircase, a small platform, two soldiers rushed from the fourth floor and locked their guns at him.
It happened very quickly, Creed's eyes could almost see the muscle movements through the skin of these two Hydra soldiers as they were about to pull the triggers.
Boom!
Creed kicked the ground, and leaped directly to the fifth floor without confirming whether there were soldiers or not.
Da! Da! Da! Da!
All the bullets pierced through the walls and destroyed the plaster on them, tens of holes could be seen on that wall now.
BANG! BANG!
He grabbed his handguns and slid on the floor, when he came under the two soldiers, he fired two single shots and killed the soldiers.
THUD!
One of the soldier's dead bodies fell down and slammed on the floor, its expression describing how stunned it was before dying.
"Haah…"
Standing up, Creed leaned on the wall and counted the number of Hydra soldiers he already killed. Surprisingly, it had already neared fifty.
"I went through only two floors and there were so many soldiers. One hundred soldiers might no more be just an assumption."
He peeked and saw no one in the long corridor. There were about eight doors along the way.
In the diagram, the control room was through this corridor and a right turn, then the next door on the left side was it.
But something wasn't acceptable here. Creed scanned and observed the corridor, there were no traces of anyone.
Beep! Beep!
Alarms rang out, the lights flashed in red. The entire floor was like blood flowed down on the walls and pooling on the rough floor.
CLANK!
All the eight doors opened simultaneously. Sweats rolled down Creed's forget inside the mask while he gripped the AK-107 tightly.
Then from each room, one individual stepped out in the corridor after which the doors all closed.
"What the hell are these?"
Creed stared with wide eyes at these individuals who were like cold corpses. 2 meters in height, big fat bodies, ripped and rotting flesh, burnt faces and ragged prisoner's clothes.
The eyes were covered by flesh and their mouths were twisted and distorted. Saliva dripped down from their mouths and trailed on the chins.
All together, they were the ugliest creatures that Creed has seen in his entire life. Strong competition to the blobfish.
"Kill him!"
A voice sounded in the corridor from the speakers fixed on the ceiling.
"Kill! Kill!"
"Die!"
The corpse-like creatures all shouted and charged towards the direction of Creed. Seeing this, he wasn't the least bit happy.
Da! Da! Da! Da!"
He shot his AK-107 bullets and dropped the first one in the very front. Its massive body rolled on the floor and blocked the path for its fellow creatures.
"That's it?"
Creed muttered in surprise. He expected these creatures to be much more durable but one after a few bullets one was already down.
"Huh?"
The one that fell on the floor, twitched and moved. It then struggled to stand up on its feet and looked at his direction.
The burnt skin on its face spasmed hard, tearing and breaking down. Black blood gushed out of those wounds.
"Ahhhh! Kill!"
"Kill!"
Stomping the floor, they rushed at him causing everything to start trembling. If he was caught up, the impact alone would be enough to break his bones.
'I need to deal with them one at a time.'
Creed jumped up and climbed the staircase. He ran and chose to separate these creatures from each other or he had no chance.
From the burnt marks on the face, they couldn't be killed using fire and he already shot one with bullets but it didn't die.
Bullets and fire were ruled out.
"Think Creed, think! What did I miss?"
While running to the junction, he questioned himself. What did he say that could help him kill these creatures?
"I know!"
Suddenly, the moment flashed when he shot one. The bullets pierced its flesh, the wound didn't heal at all.
So it didn't have incredible regeneration. Only super strength, it was slow and very unstable while running.
The corpses were humans once, so they must be using their brains to control the body. If everything was as he thought, once the head was cut off, they would die.
They were already corpses so they wouldn't exactly die but would be unable to move anymore due to the nerves cut off.
"The torture room in third floor! There were many blades. I can use them."
As he reached the junction, he jumped up on the wall and pushed himself towards the longer corridor.
The dead bodies of all the Hydra soldiers there could be useful and buy him a few seconds. The ugly creatures ran and followed Creed.
When they came to the junction, the blood and dead bodies created problems. The ones on the front slipped on the blood and fell down.
THUD!
One after another fell. The entire junction was now blocked by these mindless creatures.
"Haah! Haah!"
Creed breathed heavily while running, the method of cooling his hot body temperature.
BANG!
He shot at the soldier who was heading towards him. It seems that soldiers from the upper floors were coming down.
In the staircase that led to the third floor from the fourth floor, ten Hydra soldiers were guarding the path.
The stairs were the only way for Creed to advance to the upper floor.
Ting!
Creed plucked the two explosive grenade pins and threw them to the soldiers in the staircase.
BOOM!
With the help of the explosion and smoke, he was able to get near the staircase and kill the ones who weren't injured by the grenade.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"Bastard!"
One soldier survived and punched Creed. Then he speared himself at Creed's stomach.
Bam!
Then two slammed on the stairs. Creed took the sharp edges of the stairs on his back painfully. Gritting his teeth, he clenched his hands and struck at the soldier's spine.
"Ahgg!"
The soldier groaned and his hands around Creed loosened. With him hurt, Creed elbowed the soldier on the pterion region of the skull.
A major artery passing through that region, due to the sharp pressure, burst and immediately caused a deadly situation for the soldier.
Blood that was supposed to flow in the artery rushed out and jammed the insides.
"Ahh, ahhh!"
The soldier was left agape, his eyes turned red and his brain stopped giving signals to the body. Like a paralyzed patient, he lay down on Creed.
"Haah!"
Pushing him away, Creed got up and quickly stepped on the stairs to the third floor. The ugly creatures were catching up with him.
Boom! Boom!
He could hear their loud stomps. This mission was not as he planned it to go. If he knew about these creatures before, he wouldn't have agreed to the deal.
Five million dollars to kill almost all the Hydra soldiers in the base and these eight ugly creatures, definitely wasn't enough.
"I swear S.H.I.E.L.D. will pay for this sometime in the future! I will never forget it!"
Cursing, Creed ran as fast he could towards the torture room far on the front side of the floor. His body was overheating and required rest.
