She dropped her cigar, reaching for it so suddenly that the man screamed. He grabbed her shoulders and shook her.
"Where is the photo?" he roared.
He shook his head, cowering so badly that the chair nearly fell over. "I won't tell you."
Little Stevie walked away, running his hand over his face. She thought for a moment, then she snapped her fingers at one of the servants.
"Set up the third protocol, okay?"
The burly man disappeared into the nearby shadows. Alex couldn't see where she was going or what she was doing, and that only increased her fear. Little Stevie lit another cigar and walked slowly towards it so he could look into her eyes.
"I find waiting to be the most powerful of all emotions, don't you think?" He shrugged and gave her a wide grin. "While you're waiting for something to happen, there's only magic in the air, right? You cannot stay still. The closer the object gets, the more excited you get."
