Chương 3: EP3

He bent down and quickly picked it up and put it back in his bag. When he lifted his head, they were both looking at him. His hands were shaking even more, making it difficult for him to put the camera in his bag. He needed to get out of there, and he wasn't leaving his equipment behind.

Without thinking, he turned and ran, running in the direction he had come from and heading for the fence.

His feet were rumbling behind him, but he could barely hear it above his heart. His blood rumbled louder as the footsteps drew nearer.

Still, a set of footsteps sounded different. They looked lighter than the others, not making loud booting noises. This made him wonder, and when he turned his head to see why, he noticed that one of them was moving. It had moved. A modifier.

A wolf stood in his place, where the other man had once been, his long strides quickly shortening the distance between them.

When she saw him, she ran faster, straining herself until the sun was shining in her eyes. He finally managed to get out. He jumped into the chain links of the fence with the wolf after him.

His ripped jeans got caught in the fence as Alex jumped down the hill. He caught her as she landed, hands and feet hitting the ground. He jumped off all fours and ran to his car. Luckily he had left it unlocked and the keys were still in the ignition.

He tried to get his clumsy fingers to lock the doors. He watched briefly as the wolf passed through the fence. She had never been so graceful when crossing the street. His fur got caught in a part of the broken wire. He gasped at the sight, and his brain finally convinced him that he was indeed a shapeshifter. He had heard about them, but he hadn't thought for a moment that they were true.

The car roared as I turned the key. His pedal went all the way to the floor as he watched the slaughterhouse shrink in his rear view. His knuckles turned white from how tightly he gripped the steering wheel. He needed help but realized he had witnessed a murder and was chased by a shapeshifter.

Who would believe that?

He went straight to the police station. He flew to the nearest parking lot and stopped the car. He rushed through the front doors and frantically went to the front desk.

"Hello Hello." He struggled to regain his breath and intelligence. "My name is Alex and I need help," he said hastily.

"Okay sir, what's going on? Are you okay?" ' asked the receptionist.

"I need to speak to an officer immediately." His voice trembled.

He walked down a long, dark corridor and entered one of the rooms he thought might pinpoint the source of the scream. He grabbed the doorframe, paused, and took a deep breath. Fear of not knowing what to find on the other side made her heart pound in her chest, she felt sick to her stomach, but what really kept her from moving was a lump as big as Mount in her throat. Everest When her eyes focused, she saw him. The source of the terrifying screams was a small man lying helplessly in a heap on the ground. Two much larger men in ski masks were soaring above him, holding what looked like crowbars.

They had beaten him openly, but he was worried they might have done much worse as he was no longer screaming in pain. He watched her lie there eerily motionless. Blood was pooling in his body from the wounds he received from the crowbars. He could see the bruises on his face in the form of boot marks. He was too scared to move. to get out of there, and he wasn't leaving his equipment behind.

Without thinking, he turned and ran, running in the direction he had come from and heading for the fence.

His feet were rumbling behind him, but he could barely hear it above his heart. His blood rumbled louder as the footsteps drew nearer.

around to see if there was anything he could work on.

He knew better than to take the vase. The damn thing moved, and then all of a sudden, her books fell to the floor. The loud voice told him that she was here, and before he knew what had happened, she began sneaking out of the window.

"No! Wait!" she cried as she hung one leg from the window sill, but that did nothing to slow her down.

His intention was not to chase after him like a bandit who wanted to kill him. She knew exactly what it looked like, too. She looked like murderers.

Richard watched her slide down the fire escape and rubbed her eyes, feeling the headache starting to build up. "Damn it," he muttered.

"Go on!" she cried, herself crawling out the window. He started down the fire escape, "Hold on a second. Please, I just want to talk to you." He could feel the inner rumblings from the wolf claiming it was his.

"Get out of here," he shouted, now making his way to the ground floor. He was shocked to see how fast he was moving.

"Wait!" he shouted, hating that his feet were stuck and his legs didn't move any faster to catch him. He'd followed her all afternoon and didn't look like he was getting anywhere, but he was fast. She had tricked him.

He hit the ground and went down the alley.

"Shit." He jumped, not caring whether he fell on the hard ground or not. He couldn't lose her. He had spent the whole afternoon following her, and it would soon be completely dark.
