Chương 144: Master Alchemist test part 1
Max saw a huge building that looked more like a small neighborhood. The building itself had multiple floors and entrances. Many people streamed in and out of the huge structure and it seems that this place was very popular in the Starlight academy. Most of the people were members of the academy. The minority were people with a pill autfit on them. Most of them were dressed in an white outfit with a big pill that seem to shine on the front and end sides of the shirt. There were even less people that the pill was more shining then the others. From Vanessa's explanation the ordinary outfits were members of the alchemy pavilion that were below the level of alchemist. They could be a trainee that only started his or her way in the path of alchemy. Some of them could be alchemy apprentices that could even do some pills, elixirs or pellets at some level, but were still not good enough to become alchemists. Max did attract a lot of attention with his alchemist badge. It was not a rare sight of such person coming to the academy, but still it was someone no one ever seen before.
Vanessa went to change her attire to the alchemy trainee suit. When she got out and smiled towards Max he wanted to take this attire of the young women and teach her some stuff. The alchemist outfit did make her look even better. Her white clothing's stuck up to her body showing that she had a lot of things to be proud of. Most of them did not include alchemy in any way but no one did care. Looking at a beautiful young women was something that could warm every man that did pay attention to beauty.
Vanessa lead Max to a counter with alchemy trainees sitting in each of them. After waiting for around half an hour and looking at all the different people walking around it finally was Max's turn. When he arrived at the counter a trainee asked him with a professional smile: "Mr. alchemist welcome to our pavilion. We are always glad to see fellow alchemists from all around the continent. What can I help you with?"
Max looked at the attendant and said: "I would like to try my luck and take the master alchemist test."
The attendant was very surprised. Not a lot of people could get to a level of alchemy master. Alchemy master was a title given to alchemists that could do potions of higher level up to the level of high mage or grand knight not including those levels. Master alchemists would generally would be specialized on one or few pills, potions or pellets. Most of the time it was some kind of alchemical product that they could do up to a high level. The quality needed was the increase of the effects of every alchemical product four times and higher. The higher the result the higher the level of a master alchemist. This level of alchemists were always busy creating something and had insane connections with everyone. People will be ready for a lot to help such figure even to be on their good side. It could help a lot at a critical moment when those people will need something. It sometimes happened when the alchemist himself could not do the alchemical product because he was not specialized in it, but he had the ability to ask a fellow alchemist for a trade and get the needed product just from personal connections. Because of that people always tried to not get on the bad side of such people.
The attendant looked stunned at Max for a while. After getting in back to reality he said in a hurry: "Sir, please wait a moment. It is something that I can't make a decision on myself. I will call the manager."
Some people heard what Max said and it did cause quite a commotion in the crowd. People still did not try to pester Max. Trying to become a master alchemist and becoming one were two different things.
Soon the manager came with a displeased face and said: "Mister alchemist you are the one that wants to take the alchemy test?"
Max nodded in response.
The manager asked another question: "Where did you get your alchemist position from?"
Max did not think much of it and answered: "I got it from the Ruth empire alchemy association."
The manager asked another question: "What level is this Ruth empire? I have never heard of it."
This manager was doing some of his potions and he failed it in the last moment because the attendant got into his office with a panic that someone wants to try and get the master alchemist title. When the manager heard Max got his title from shit hole he got very pissed inwardly. The manager was sure this retard came over just to try his luck and earn some points. I was not the first time alchemists try to do such stuff.
Max furrowed his brows and said: "A level one empire."
The manager smiled and said: "For such low level empires alchemists there is a need to check the qualification of the alchemist before he or she can take the master alchemist exam. You will need to make a product on the level of an alchemist in a set time with any materials you need.
Max did look at this person strangely. This guy tried to make his life difficult. He did not understand why was that even happening, but his patience was growing thinner and thinner. Max would go with the procedure and than after getting the master alchemist level he would make the life of this manager a hell on earth.
Vanessa felt that something was off and wanted to say something but Max stopped her with a gesture of his hand and said: "Alright. Lets go ahead and make this test."
The manager smiled and said to Max: "Please pay attention to the fact that if you fail the alchemist title can be stripped from you. Think well before you try."
Max was very confident in himself and because of that he just nodded his head. He wanted to get at least a master alchemist badge. Only this level of authority would let him receive what he needed right now. This was the fastest way to get to his goals.
Max looked at the smirking manager and said: "Lead the way!"
