Chapter 274: Goodbyes
When Law arrived at the house accompanied by Viola, the group was already enjoying a feast.
They had set up an enormous barbecue outside the house where Vivi was cooking burgers with some help from Franky.
"Seems like you guys are having a blast…" Law said.
"Traffy! Come here and have a bite, these are delicious with some beer!" Luffy waved at him with one burger in each hand.
"Aunt Viola?!, I didn't think you would be leaving the castle today." Rebeca went to greet her aunt.
"I had to at least thank our saviors properly before they left. Father wanted to come too, but he had to entertain the higher-ups from the World government. Now they all want to play nice and say they are sorry for their mishandling of the situation…they left us to fend for our ourself for ten years…." Viola gritted her teeth.
"Aunt Viola…." Rebeca didn't know what to say.
"I'm fine." Viola recovered.
"Everything is fine now. We can have some peace now."
"You have to try this….mmm… hamburger?, is a food from Vivi's homeland I believe, take a seat, I'll bring you one!" Rebecca said with excitement.
"I never seen her this….happy," Viola commented.
"So, how was the meeting?, did you get anything useful?" Nami asked Law.
"Not really…" Law sat down and took a beer.
Everyone looked at him, waiting for what he had to say.
"I turned Caesar over to the Marines. He had no more use for us, now that Doflaming was out of the picture. I was originally planning on negotiating a cease-fire…a temporary truce with the world government while we took care of our business…but none of that was necessary."
Law looked a Vivi for a moment before starting at Luffy.
"They have decided to give your crew 'Emperor Status'. Which means that the Marines will leave you alone, for the most part."
"Emperor, me?!" Luffy exclaimed.
"Is not official, of course. But the World government is recognizing your crew as a massive threat. One that cannot be approached carelessly. That is what the Emperors are. "Explained Law.
"I thought I had to beat that Kaidou guy to become one. Isn't that what you said?" Asked Luffy.
"It wasn't really a requirement. But yes, the fastest way to be recognized as an Emperor is to get rid of a current one…but killing a Marine Admiral or defeating many of the Shichibukais can have the same effect, I suppose." Law added.
"That means we are safer now?" wondered Usopp.
"No more being chased by the Marines?"
"It looks like they are going to leave in peace from now on, as long as we don't do something too outrageous." Said Nami.
"You need to be careful, brother. Being an Emperor also means that only the most dangerous people in the world will come after you and your crew," warned Sabo.
"wait, that's bad then!" Realized Usopp.
"Shishishi, let them come!, well beat them all and I'll become the Pirate King!" Luffy said with a grin.
"our bounties are going to increase quite a bit, I assume." Commented Robin.
"We need to talk about our next step, but I suppose we can do that after we are back at the ship. We shouldn't remain here for much longer." Said Law.
"Yeah, is also time for us to go." Sabo stood up.
"You are leaving already?" Luffy frowned again.
Sabo chuckled.
"Well see each other again, don't worry."
He took something from his pocket.
"This is my vivre card. If you ever need to find me."
A sound came from the distance.
"That's our call, we need to go." urged Koala.
Sabo gave his brother a big hug.
"Say hi to Ace from my part when you see him next."
"I don't know when I will see him again." Answered Luffy.
"My intel tells me that he was spotted going in the direction towards the Wano country." Said Sabo.
"Ace is going there too?!, do you know why?" Asked Luffy.
"No… 'm afraid not. But you two need to be very wary of that man…Kaidou. I have never met him in person, but he is someone who even your father is cautious of…" Sabo said with a serious expression.
"It's okay, our Captain is a tough one. And he has all of us with him." Said Vivi.
"The next time you see us, we might be the crew of the Pirate King, who knows?"
"I'll look forward to that… and thanks for taking care of my brother. " Sabo waved at them.

After saying goodbye to the revolutionaries, it was also time for them to leave.
"I don't know how to thank you all, for everything you did for my country and my family…." Viola stood in front of the Strawhats.
"I wouldn't worry too much about it. I think your niece took care of that already." Franky gave her a thumbs up.
"What?!" Viola looked at Rebeca, the girl was blushing and looking at the round.
"Wait, we can leave yet, what about Zoro?" Said Luffy.
"We can pick him up.on our way out. I know exactly where he is….a few miles south of the city. " Said Vivi.
"South of the city?" Rebeca asked with confusion.
"But there is nothing there, what could he possibly be doing there?"
"You are overestimating our swordsman, he just doesn't know where he is..." Said Brook.
"There is something there," Viola added to the conversation.
"That's where the royal park is located."
"Oh!, that's right. It used to be a beautiful place…I haven't been there in such a long time." said Rebeca.
"It is still beautiful. That was one thing Doflamingo didn't ruin. I made sure of it." Viola said with pride.
"But if your swordman has been there since yesterday…he must be starving, you should hurry to get him." Said Rebeca.
"He can take care of himself. If he is hungry, he will probably hunt some animals." Said Vivi.
"I'm afraid there are no animals in the park, it is filled with plants and flowers. Well…except for the royal Peacocks…." Viola gasped.
"You don't think he is going to harm them, right?. They are lovely and beautiful animals."
They looked at each other with worried expressions.
"I'm sure he won't!" Exclaimed Nami.
"Yeah…Zoro has always been an animal lover." Usopp lied the best he could.
"Ah….thats a relief…" Said the princess.
"Before we leave, I do have an important request." Brook looked at Viola.
"Yes? what is it?. Anything for my heroes."
"Can I see your panties?" the skeleton asked.
