Chapter 184: Reunion at the forest
"Ah!, its the Sunny! Hey, Franky, Vivi! Is this where you guys have been the whole time?!" Shouted Luffy while riding a giant shark. A beautiful big mermaid was sitting next to him.
They look at the approaching group. Franky made an excited face after seeing the mermaid while Jimbei's eyes almost popped out of his head.
"Luffy!, hot damn! that's quite the pin-up girl you brought with you." Said the cyborg.
"Is that the princes?!" Shouted Jimbei with shock.
"Vivi, Franky. Let me introduce you, this is Crybaby!." Said Luffy.
"H-Hi…my name is Shirahoshi…" the giant mermaid said shily.
"Nice to meet you miss. I'm Franky." the cyborg greeted.
"Hi there, I'm Vivi." She then looked at Luffy. "Captain, did you kidnap the princess?"
"What is going on?!, Princes Shirahoshi!" Jimbei came running to her.
"No, no!" She quickly said. "Mister Luffy did nothing wrong!, I told him I wanted to come to this forest and he brought me here…" The mermaid explanation seemed to calm down the Shichibukai somewhat.
Luffy looked at him.
"And who are you?"
"Guys!, I need some help here!." Chopper spoke from the top of the giant shark. He was trying to bring down a very injured Hachi.
"What happened to the Octo guy?" Franky asked while helping Chopper.
"Hachi!, what happened to you?!" Jimbei shouted.
"How did you get those wounds? and what are you doing here? I thought you were captured along with Arlong." He went to examine his old friend.
"His life is not in danger, but I will need to treat his wounds further, help me take him to the Sunny, I have more tools there." Requested Chopper. Jimbei took his friend and carried him out.
"Eh?, why is Princess Shirahoshi here?!" An unknown fishman came out of the Sunny.
"Who are you?, and what are you doing in our ship?" Asked Luffy.
"That's Den, the brother of my old teacher. He is doing the re-coating for the Sunny" Explained Franky.
"I see…" Luffy nodded, even though he didn't seem to understand what Franky was talking about.
"Your Majesty!" Jimbei came running out of the ship and approached her.
"I know why you came here but you must return to your tower, is too dangerous to be outside!"
"Ah." Luffy saw a giant axe flying at the mermaid and jumped to intercept it before Jimbei or anyone else could move.
"Another one… that's like the tenth weapon I have to kick. Who is throwing these?"
"You see?, why did you bring the Primcess out?, there was a good reason for keeping her in the tower." Said Jimbei.
"Shell be fine, she's got me to protect her, right?" Assured Luffy.
Shirahoshi smiled.
"Yes!"
"She is so carefree…" Jimbei sighed.
The princess then went to pray on her mother's tomb. This was the reason she wanted to come to the first in the first place.
"So she was not allowed to visit her mothers grave?, that's terrible" Said Vivi.
"Is too dangerous to go out…she hasn't left the tower for the past ten years," Jimbei said with regret.
"Who is the one throwing those things at her, and why?" She asked, even though she already had an idea who it was.
"A Fishman pirate called Vander Dreken...he became obsessed with her since the first time he saw her and has been pursuing her since.
He has a devil fruit that allows him to throw things from very far away and never miss" He explained.
"He has been obsessed with her for the past ten years?, how old is the Princess, because she looks very young,". Asked Sanji
"She is currently sixteen years old" Answered Jimbei.
"So she was six when he meet her?..." Vivi didn't know what else to say.
"What!, how dare that bastard!" Sanji looked absolutely livid.
"Well then…we just need to kill the pedophile and problem solved" Suggested Vivi.
"The what?" Asked Jimbei. " But…killing him is not that simple, he attacks from anywhere, we never know where he is."
"I know where he is" Said Vivi.
"You can sense him from here?" Asked the Shichibukai.
"Yes, I remember his aura since previous our encounter. He is on the island. Together with those from the Fisman Pirates." Said Vivi.
"He is with Hody?...this is very bad." Jimbei looked worried.
"Who is Hody?" Asked Luffy.
"Remember the guys we meet before entering the island?, the ones riding those giant Sea Kings that offered you to join their pirate crew and you called them idiots and then we almost drown because of it?..." Asked Vivi.
Luffy thought about it for a while.
"Vaguely…" He eventually said.
"Well, Hody Jones is the name of their Captain."
"Oh!, so he is an enemy then." Her Captain concluded.
"Yes, you may have to punch him later."
"Okay!"

"She is been sitting there for a while now…" Luffy was getting bored and impatient.
"She just had so many things she wanted to tell her mother." Said Jimbei.
Vivi noticed Nami and Camie approaching. She failed to sense what was happening in the palace because in order to observe the entire island she had actively enhanced her observation haki with her God fruit powers, something that consumes a lot of energy so she can't be actively doing it all the time.
But is not like she was worried about Zoro and the others since she knew that opponents of this caliber would not be enough to beat him.
"Luffy!" The voice of Nami could be heard from the distance.
"Woah, the Princess is with them after all," said Camie.
They turned around and saw the duo traveling through some sort of water tube.
"Nami!, has the banquet started yet?!" Luffy shouted back.
"Nami! " Called Sanji with happiness.
"What banquet? were you guys planning a party without me?" Vivi looked affronted.
