Chapter 144: The most secure prison in the World
"Are you crazy?" Exclaimed Usopp.
"Is not that crazy! The marines will think that we left for Fishman Island and will not look for us at the bottom of the sea." Said Vivi.
"That's true…instead of chasing us there, It would be more practical to wait until we come back to the surface" Said Robin.
"It is possible…" Franky looked in deep thought as if calculating the odds of that plan working.
"The coating should hold, from what I understand of it at least, that plan should be possible."
"So you see Zoro? They will need the strongest member of this crew who can still enter the water without drowning to protect the ship. If they are attacked by some giant sea monster or something else down there, you can cut it down." Vivi observed his reaction. He did not seem to like the idea very much but knew that her reasoning made some sense.
"Fine…" The swordsman finally agreed.
'Also, if we take Zoro to Impel Down, a place that has been purposely designed to be confusing to navigate and easy to get lost in order to avoid escapes…we may never see him again…' Thought Vivi.
"It is decided then!" The Captain wore an unusually serious expression.
"We have no time to waste in order to save Ace. We are leaving right now."
The Strawhats nodded and went to work.
"Let's do this!" They exclaimed.
Zoro's group returned to the Sunny. Nami, Vivi, and Luffy went to get the marine ship moving while Chopper went back to check on the Vice-Captain injuries.
"Wait…guys?..."
They forgot about someone, as Sanji was left in the room alone and blindfolded.
"Where do I go?, can I take this off already?...Chopper?..."

"So, does everyone understand the plan?" Asked Nami.
The group of five Strawhats were all together and discussing their approach to infiltrating the most secure prison in the world.
After four days of travel, almost two of them thought the Calm Belt, Impel Down was finally on sight. A circular fortress made of yellow stone could be seen over the water while most of the structure remained beneath it.
"This is very itchy!" Luffy complained as he tried to stretch the fabric of the marine uniform he was currently wearing.
"That's because you are not used to wearing clothes that cover your arms and legs completely." Said Nami.
"Don't complain so much, Captain. We only have to wear these uniforms to get in. You can take them off afterward if you want." Vivi adjusted her white hat with the word 'Marine' on it.
Luffy, Sanji, and Vivi were wearing 'first-class seaman' uniforms while Nami was wearing a 'Chief petty officer one. The only difference was the color of her scarf but it was a recognizable symbol to all marines.
It would be too risky to try to impersonate high-ranking officials like a Captain because they are all very well known, so they came up with a story that is more believable.
"Why don't I get a uniform?!" Complained Chopper in a manner that made him look very cute.
"You will stand out too much in your human form. Is better if you stay hidden under Luffys clothes" Said Nami.
"Cant I take this off at least?!. " Sanji said with exasperation.
He was only allowed to take the blindfold when he was in the kitchen or in his room in order to avoid incidents.
"Better not, if you see Nami in that sexy Marine uniform…oh man…you are going to bleed all over the place." Said Vivi with a seductive voice.
"I wanna see it!" Sanji shouted.
"Hey!, stop saying those things…and where did you get these uniforms anyways?" Asked Nami.
"Huh?, I found them in a dresser in one of the officer's rooms. Why?" Asked Vivi.
Nami rose an eyebrow. "Well…there weren't any female marines among the crew we captured."
"Ahh…I see…" Vivi looked like she didn't know what to say. "So anyways, Captain…"
"She is totally ignoring the issue here!" Exclaimed Sanji.
"Captain…" Vivi continues. "Remember that you need to use the Marine hat I gave you."
"I know, I know!. But is very uncomfortable." Complained Luffy.

They were allowed to dock the ship with no issues but the moment they started to descend, they saw a big squad of Marines with an officer at the front, all waiting for them.
The officer was wearing a Marine Captain uniform. He looked at the group of four 'Marines' who came down from the warship and frowned deeply. His gaze went directly to Nami, who he identified as the higher rank of the group, thanks to her green scarf.
"Chief Petty Officer, Identify yourself!." He ordered.
They all tried to cover their most recognizable feature the best they could. Both Nami and Vivi had their hair mostly concealed by the white hat.
Nami did a salute.
"Greetings Captain. I am Officer Nojiko."
The Marine Captain observed her with care.
"This is Vice-Admiral Momomnga's warship, we could recognize it from a mile away. Why am I only seeing a Chief Petty Officer and three first-class?. Where is the rest of the crew?!"
Nami made a sad expression.
"We had a violent encounter with some dangerous pirates on the way here. The Vice-Admiral and most of the crew were grievously injured on the way here."
The Captain and the other Marines looked shocked.
"The Vice-Admiral Momonga got injured to that degree? What pirates did you fight?!"
"Is best if we leave the report for later, Captain. The Vice-Admiral and many others are in need of urgent medical attention!. We need to carry them inside." Nami knew that the fewer details they gave the better.
The Captain nodded.
"I understand…Impel Down is currently in lockdown by orders of Fleet Admiral Sakazuki. As you know, we have a very important prisoner that will be moved in less than two days for his execution at the Headquarters. But I think we can do an exception, given the gravity of the situation."
His eyes went to Sanji's face…or more specifically to what was on his face.
"Why is that one blindfolded?" Pointed the Captain.
Nami looked at Sanji.
"Ah…he was injured during the fight and lost his eyesight…but insisted on coming here anyways to show his respects to a superior officer."
The Captain looked moved.
"What an admirable young man!."
His gaze now went to Luffy.
"Why is that man not wearing the reglementary Marine hat?...and…is that a strawhat?"
"Sir!" One of the other marines behind the Captain went pale as he looked at Luffy.
"That's not a marine!. That is Strawhat Luffy!, the 300 million pirate that everyone is looking for!."
"What?!" Shouted the Captain.
The marine squad took out their rifles and pointed them at Luffy and the others.
Vivi looked at Luffy.
"Seriously?!. You couldn't go without the hat for five minutes?!"
