Chapter 142: Vivi vs Momonga, round 2
Momonga disappeared from his spot as the wooden boards of the deck broke into pieces.
Vivi's eyes followed his movements as he reappeared next to her, his was sword ready to strike and shone with a dark aura.
She let him cut a few strands of her hair while moving out of the way. As she was moving back up, Vivi clenched her fist and punched the Vice-Admiral right on his kidney, earning a loud grunt from the man and making him lose his balance for a second.
"Ugg…that went through my 'tekkai'!" He quickly recovered his posture and attacked again. This time, he went for a vertical slash.
She moved forward and placed one hand on the handle of his sword, preventing it from coming down, with her free arm, she sent a punch at lightning speed at his belly.
The force of the hit was such that the big man went flying up, releasing his hold on the sword which remained in Vivi's grip.
She patiently waited for him to fall and recover enough to stand up before throwing him his sword back.
Momonga was gasping for air after only two hits and his hands trembled as he took his sword back. He threw Vivi a furious glare but she remained unfazed.
"Ahh!!" He screamed and put all his force into this next attack. The sword's aura became bigger and wilder as tentacles of dark energy weaved their way around it.
The Vice-Admiral adopted a charging position that looked almost feral this time. When he moved again, the wooden boards were completely destroyed.
He did not go for any tricks or faints as he knew they were useless against his current oponent. Momonga went for a frontal attack and a horizontal slash.
At this point, Luffy had knocked out the remaining marines and the only one left standing was the Vice Admiral. So everyone's attention was on Vivi's fight.
She saw the attack approaching and once again moved forward. She then used her right fist to hit Momonga's hands with so much force that it created a small shockwave and everyone heard his bones cracking.
Momonga was forced to release the hold on his sword and this one went tumbling around the deck.
Vivi then, sent a left hook directly to his chest, shattering several more bones and sending him flying back.
"Wow!, did you see that?!" Shouted Usopp.
"No, I did not! Let me take this blindfold off!" Cried Sanji.
He has been forced to wear a blindfold by Chopper orders.
"No!" The Doctor shouted with authority. "You have already lost too much blood and I have a limited supply!"
Zoro had not taken his eyes off Vivi the entire time.
"What do think, Mister Swordsman?" Robin, who was at his side, asked.
"She is using her ability in an interesting way…" Zoro commented.
Nami was surprised at hearing this.
"What are you talking about? She hasn't shot any water yet. Vivi had only been dodging and punching that guy."
Zoro did not answer her question, instead, he just said.
"This fight is over. Let's prepare to board that ship."
"Leave it to me!" Assured Franky with a thumbs up.
Momonga opened his mouth only to vomit a mouthful of blood. He then grunted in pain as he used his broken hands to help himself up and managed to stand straight despite all of his injuries. At this point, he was just holing by pure determination.
"I lost…you can take my life…I'll just ask you to spare my men. They have caused no harm to you or your crew, Nefertari Vivi."
Vivi rose an eyebrow.
"I don't want your life or your men's…but you will all have to accompany us for a short trip. As long as you all behave, no harm will come to you. Make sure to pass that message to them when you have the chance."
Momonga looked very surprised at hearing this.
"You are not going to kill us?...a trip where?"
"Hey!, I'm not that ruthless! And you will find out our destination later on, I'm sure…" Defended Vivi.
Momonga grunted in pain and held his sides.
"I guess I don't have room to complain…fine. My life and my men are in your hands, Strawhats."
He then looked directly at Vivi again.
"It seems like it was you, the one who was holding back, this time around."
"What makes you think that?" Asked Vivi with interest.
Momonga frowned.
"Why else?...you didn't even use your devil fruit powers to fight me."
"What are you saying, Mohawk guy? Vivi was using her abilities the whole time." Luffy approached and looked at the Vice-Admiral.
"Huh?" It seems like he had forgotten about his injuries for a moment and looked at Vivi for answers.
"Is true. I was using my water abilities all the time." He moved her right arm into an L shape. A small burst of water came from her elbow area.
"See?. I use these to increase the speed and force of my punches. I can also use them on my feet and legs to move faster."
"I did not notice…" Momonga admitted. "I truly admit defeat…Nefertari Vi-" The Vice-Admiral collapsed on the deck before finishing his sentence.
"Chopper!, hurry up and heal the mohawk guy before he dies." Shouted Luffy.
"Hold on!, we are almost there" Yelled the doctor.
The Sunny arrived at the side of the marine warship.
"Alright, mateys!. Let's board this ship!" Exclaimed Usopp.
