Chương 11: I'm a freak

The day finally arrived. Every student of Middleton Middle School that were invited to come to the NeRd Olympics, made it to school. The idea of watching people spit out answers was boring at best, but the thought of sleeping at an A class hotel room excited the students to come.

The students were eager to step into the bus so they could reach their destination before time caught up to them.

When the buses arrived the students rushed to the front of the school. The teachers to the students dismay took their time to get to the front, but when there they started accordingly placing students in certain buses.

Cameron and his group were one of those students. Trent and Cameron were pressed into the last bus together with Trent sitting in front and Cameron sitting at the back.

The dark skinned boy walked down to the back with his head tugged down and hands in his pocket, the bus was filled with students from one certain class so he practically knew nobody.

"Hey Cam!"

The boy stopped and turned to his left spotting the pattered down dark haired vigilante; Aiden. Cameron took a peak back noticing the teacher was busy focusing on Trent, and with the knowledge she wasn't paying attention to him, he snuck a seat next to Aiden who sat near the back of the bus.

The two boys fist bumped one another a nice celebration which didn't last long, the teacher that was keeping an eye on the group of students looked up searching for Cameron. The boy shrunk down in his seat trying to hide himself from the educator.

"W-"

"-Oh here!" The sweet and pleasant sound of Ruby's voice sounded from the back where she sat with her friends that seemed tense about Ruby lying. "He is right here by us."

"Oh. Alright then."

The teacher sat down coursing all the girls at the back to breathe out air of relief. Cameron peaked out from his seat and showed Ruby a thumbs up, she answered back with a smile. The bus started moving.

"Mr bad boy strikes again." Aiden teased.

"Mr bad boy? Is that what the people are calling me nowadays?"

"No. But they should. You seem like a good kid that does bad boy type of things."

"Like what?"

"For one you bailed on us during the clown thing and now you're on the teachers watch list."

"I wouldn't say bailed. Let's just say my number two turned into a number twenty."

Aiden cackled. "No more information dude."

"So how long have you and Abbie been dating?"

"Two months now and it's been great Abbie really gets me you know. Sure at times we have our arguments, but she understands me."

"And you understand her?"

"Of course, we were meant to be. Okay, enough sappy talk. What are you about man?"

"I don't get the question."

"I mean like what do you like to do?"

"Oh. That's a generic question man. Here's a question for you, when did you come to the school?"

"Excuse me?"

"It's clear you weren't here back in the days of old, so when did you come here?"

"Last year. My old school Eastern Quartz middle school was filled with a bunch of dicks. So I was forced to transfer here, I thought this school was going to suck, because on my first day I wanted to park my bike somewhere when I was told I couldn't bring it."

"Shit."

"What?"

"My bad dude. That bike thing was a whole nother story, basically on my first day of fifth grade my friends and I messed up the school with our bikes."

"What?!"

"Yeah. Those tire marks in the cafeteria that was our fault."

"Holy shit dude, that's sick. You must be a riot to hang out with, respect."

➜ [ Moments Later ]

After hours of the two boys celebrating and laughing about. The bus came to it's first stop, a Shakies open drive through. The bus was parked somewhere else while the driver went on to get some food.

The students exited the bus so they could go either pea or buy something for themselves. Cameron and Aiden left for a small walk around the Shakies parley.

"It's so cold." Cameron rubbed his arms in stutter, "We should get back to the bus, we don't want to be left behind."

"You're chilled dude. So I wanna show you something, but when I do promise to not tell anyone alright?"

"S-sure."

Aiden searched around and found a stack of four bricks. He picked one of them and smirked at Cameron before he swung it at a wall. After coming into contact with the wall, the brick broke and after the brick came in contact with it the wall was dented with a crack.

"You can throw well? I can do that two."

"Okay bad boy." Aiden picked up a brick and threw it to Cameron. "Show me, by throwing it at me."

"W-what?"

"You heard me. Throw it at me."

"Dude this thing hurts like hell. You might die or suffer a serious concussion from this."

"Trust me."

"You're planning on dodging this thing right?"

"Nope."

"Dude."

Aiden chuckled. "Come on man, I'm just playing of course I'm gonna dodge it, what do you take me for an idiot?"

"Yeah." Cameron swung the brick towards Aiden who stood his ground.

Aiden stood still not budging a muscle, his face didn't seem like it was planning on dodging which worried Cameron a tad bit. The boy stood his ground as the brick knocked him upside the head. Cameron jumped in shock and ran to his friend.

Aiden raised his palm indicating for the boy to stop. "No worries." He lifted his head with a smirk.

"Aiden?"

"Watch this." Aiden charged forward towards the wall from before and tossed his arm forward, resulting in his fist connecting with the walls interior.

"Whoa?!" Cameron exclaimed, shocked at what his friend did.

Aiden pulled his fist back revealing a dented crack similar to the one from before. The dark skinned boy walked up to Aiden with a shocked expression.

"T-"

Aiden realizing Cameron's expression wasn't a happy one took a step back. "What? Are you gonna call me out for being a freak?! Are you gonna say I'm a weird unfortunate mistake?! What?!"

"That was awesome!" The dark skinned boy exclaimed.

"Uh- oh." Aiden lightly smiled.

Cameron looked at his wrist then up at Aiden. "You-"

"-We need to get back to the bus. Before they leave us for good."

"Yeah... right..."
