"Oh, that's why Father has not told me about the book's secret. father guessed that if he told me about the system book, I would be able to open it. The irony was what father wanted to stop became reality as I had the knowledge to unlock the book through my past life memory."
In the canon, the Talen family was supposed to tell their descendant, to whom they had given the book, that it was special and that the book contained power. Each generation had to find a way to unlock it.
Abraham understood his father and brother's concerns, but to achieve his goal, he needed to become the One Above All.
Looking directly into Albus's eyes, Abraham gave him an idea of his future plan.
"You are right. I could leave the dalki issue to the world leader and live a peaceful life. But that would only be temporary. When the dalki becomes stronger, do you think that the world leaders would be able to protect everyone? Tell me, brother, would you be relaxing like this if you knew that maybe in the future the dalki would attack this planet? Here is where your wife and child live. When that time comes, would you not regret that you were not strong enough?"
Abraham took a little pause before continuing.
"I will become the strongest, having the power to control my fate and others. After father, you are the only one left. I will not let any harm happen to you or your family.
Right now, we humans have a common enemy, the dalki. That's why we are united. But once we win, the injustice and greed among humans will rise again. Those in power would become corrupted, taking advantage of the weaker. If you could imagine such a future, you would be scared for the future of Quinn."
Seeing the look in Abraham's eyes while he was talking, Albus knew that he was serious. All the talk made him think, what if a dalki were to attack the planet right now? There were many green planets, yet during the last few months, many of them turned to red grade due to the complete annihilation of the human settlement. They were financially stable but not rich enough to buy a high-level ability book for Quinn.
Albus knew that there was no way to stop Abraham. Instead, from the talk, it looked like Abraham was the one to have to influence him. Since their childhood, Albus always felt that, just in age, Abraham was younger than him, but the way Abraham behaved and talked looked really like an experienced man who has seen the ups and downs in life.
"Life is never fair. You could be living your happy life here without hurting anyone, and yet misfortune will find you in the form of a dalki, an arrogant person, or a corrupted man with power. I will become the law that no one can evade, the fear that everyone will think twice before taking any action, the ultimate hope when disaster is upon humans. I will be an angel for those who are weak but a demon for those who do injustice. I will be the One Above All."
Abraham didn't know why he was giving such a speech to his brother, but the more he talked, the more he felt a burning flame inside him. He could see his goal in front of him, his sheer determination consolidated.
Unintentionally, Abraham's dragon's bloodline and Qi's aura had activated, putting enormous pressure on his surroundings.
Albus was finding it hard to breathe as if he stood in front of a demon beast. The rumor was that the mere presence of a demon beast could shatter any human's will to fight. Albus couldn't even swallow the small amount of saliva in his mouth.
Fortunately, Abraham noticed his brother's struggle and deactivated whatever was causing such immense pressure.
"Cough, cough," Albus gasped for air but found it difficult to remain standing. Abraham rushed to his side to offer support.
"I'm sorry brother, I was in such a state that I unintentionally brought harm to you," Abraham said, recalling the recent outburst of pressure.
Ginny and Quinn quickly ran to Albus upon hearing his panting. Quinn comforted him, assuring him that nothing was wrong.
After they all sat down, the family spent time together until dinnertime. At Abraham's request, Ginny cooked a piece of meat for him. Since he became a vampire, he could not digest any food except some meat, which was still quite difficult for him to eat without throwing up.
They talked, laughed, and even cried together, a moment that was dear to Abraham. He felt it was important to have such moments regularly to avoid becoming the monster he was in his past life, after the incident with his brother.
Abraham decided to spend the next few months by the side of his family, but that would not stop him from improving himself. Using the shadow teleport skill, he would leave to carry out his plan and return later to the apartment to relax.
As the night wore on, Albus got out of bed after checking that Ginny was deeply asleep. A faint red hue could be seen in his eyes, indicating that Richard's influence skill had been activated. He tiptoed to the other side of the bed where the cupboard was located. He opened it carefully, trying to avoid making any noise that might wake Ginny. He looked like a thief in his own home as he lifted up all the shirts that were stacked one on top of the other to retrieve a small circular object. The outer part was black with a small white button in the middle, while the back had a red design made up of various symbols.
Richard had ordered Albus to press the button after his meeting with Abraham, in secret. But just as he was about to grab the object, Albus saw a shadow rising next to him.
