...?
It was that crest. Eradan frowned. The youth picked it up and read.
"The Tetrads."
He looked at Myst, eyes narrowed. Quite puzzled on what really caught myst's attention. This pet was really something else. He carefully kept it for future purposes.
Eradan strode towards his bed and sat down. Myst following up, climbing onto his laps.
Left with nothing else to do, Eradan had to put up with stroking Myst who slept off almost immediately. Him, on the other hand, couldn't sleep. The sapphires and everything were impossible for him to do so. Extravagant but discomforting.
The breathing sound of Myst sleeping was the only thing that resounded within this luxurious room.
Meanwhile.
Eradan, fully awake, watched the afternoon sun move until dusk was fast approaching. The day really moved faster than Eradan thought. The beautiful sight was the setting sun was a meditating panacea but Eradan really wasn't in the mood.
A dancing glow of deep golden seeped into Eradan's room decorating it in its magnificent hue. Literally giving every single item it embraced, a taint of gold on it. A sign that the sun was to vanish and pave way for the abyss of darkness.
Knock!
Knock!
Knock!
Came on Eradan's door.
Woof!
A startled Myst woke up, irritated, growling angrily at the intruder as if warning him or her to stride off. He needed to enjoy maximum time with his master. He had not done that for three days.
Really amused, Eradan looked at Myst. They were lots of secret about Myst that he wasn't aware of, Very interesting indeed. He scoffed.
"Come in." He ignored myst's disapproval. Unaware of the creature he acquainted. The figure outside twisted the door knob slowly, about to push it open when,
Out of the blues, a surge from unknown source exploded within his room. Blue visible mists alongside it. Like a volcanic eruption. A territorial aura it was. It was soothing yet alarming. How could an aura be like that. Somewhat claiming.
What just happened...?
Eradan was taken aback. He gazed at Myst as if trying to decipher what this beast had done. Wait! He knew what it was but was impressed with why the beast did that. Blue eyes just fixed on golden furs with Eradan unable to speak.
Did you just?
Phromosomes... He recollected from the book he took from Andrew. It was a medium for mystical creatures to communicate with their owners and their surroundings. They did that by releasing phromosomes into the air.
Phromosomes could either signify, anger, worries, relief and the rest; depending on the animal's mood. Myst's own at this point was territorial. Territorial on what?
... Him. Eradan answered himself and almost laughed at the thought of it. His blue eyes brightened at his little friend. It was adorable but funny. He rolled his eyes at Myst, still bewildered at myst's antics for attention. He might as well push the button further.
"Since you don't want them in, then I'll go out myself." He said and Myst turned towards him and whined pitifully. His eyes boring into he's.
Myst; please don't leave UwU.
Eradan huffed in defeat, "Fine. I won't." He was going to obey Myst this once regarding how he treated him the other time. Blue eyes shifted to the half open door, a head peaking inside.
"Is he... Is he... calm yet?" The owner of the head asked amidst the horror written over his face. He wasn't going to be a victim of a mystical creature. Rather he would just disobey his master. How was his young master able to acquire such rare brutal creature? He thought. And tame it?
Eradan's lips curled. Myst be feeling himself now. All dominant and respecting. The Myst that was captured and scared of fire had vanished. The one also trapped in a cage doing the same.
"Don't mind this bratty wolf, why are you here?" Eradan mocked, maintaining his smile.
However, the other wasn't relieved yet. The aura his body felt sent chills down his spine. It was menacing. Why was he the unfortunate one to be sent?
"Youn... Young M-Master Lloyd sent for you. Master Francis."
Eradan flinched...
Brows inadvertently creased...
Wait how...?
Did he?.. No he didn't?
Was that the previous owner's name?
Blue eyes blinked in surprise regarding his latest revelation and Eradan sighed internally, helplessly gulping down another shocking information. A coincidence indeed. Guess he told Andrew a part of his real name then. However,
Lloyd? Who really was that?
Eradan shifted his attention to the wolf on his lap– who reciprocated his gaze, sullenly.
" I'm coming. Just a few minutes." He said then heard Myst whine in disapproval, leaving the onlooker stumped silly. Was this beast always like this to his young master? He had never seen such connection in his entire life. The sight before him was... Unbelievable.
Eradan, now getting tired of myst's territorialism had to explain to the furry creature how important the call might be.
"Myst it might be urgent. Just be a good boy... Okay." He pacified afterwards.
Yet Myst was repugnant, leaving Eradan dumbfounded. He watched Myst alight and walk towards the door. The individual sent to call him disappearing behind the door.
" young master. I... I ... I'll be waiting outside." The individual said from behind the door.
Woof!
Myst's blue pupils fell on Eradan before moving to the door. He wagged his three tails blissfully, indulging his master to understand what he wanted. And Eradan did.
"Fine." If he was going to follow him then it was fine.
Eradan got up and alongside Myst, both went outside. Embracing the Serene environment.
....
Lloyd stood on a guided platform surrounded by green pond water. Lotus flower decorated some parts of the pond, while it gave shades of parch golden. An effect of the setting sun. Lloyd's eyes were on his rippled reflection above the pond. His mind in thought.
It was unnatural...
Very unnatural...
Perhaps his cousin had a response to it. But he wasn't going to probe much if he didn't want it.
Lloyd heard footsteps approaching him. Undoubtedly, it was his cousin.
"Has your dizziness subsided?" He queried, eyes off his reflection, looking at his cousin who was now beside him. Looking around. Seriously admiring the environment Lloyd could tag as splendid.
"A bit... I guess." Eradan replied. Unsure of the perfect answer. He was still feeling dizzy. So this guy was Lloyd? He knew it? Although it was an assumption. Both his name and features were parallel to each other. Perfect. But How was he cruel? He really couldn't see that?
"I see..." Lloyd helplessly replied to his cousin's sudden antics of endurance. If that was his current resolution then it was okay though strange. The Francis he knew would have given him lots of details of how scorching and excruciating painful his arm was.
"You like the view?" He teased afterwards, and Eradan beamed. Eradan felt his heart soften like never before. This brother was more caring than Max. Well, let's say softer and more fun. Max was always hanging around with those friend of his, rarely spending time him. Though he had.
"I find it aesthetically pleasing..." Eradan replied, his eyes picturing the visage before him, likewise enjoying the chilled current that came by. His long hair swaying in accordance to it's movement.
Lloyd's demeanor lit up, his tone cool and calm.
"Mother and father would be really happy to see you again..."
He turned back to Eradan who's attention seemed divided. Eradan's mind was in chaos. A new family? A new mother? Father? And maybe siblings? Eradan hoped for the best.
"And I can't wait to see them..." He replied with sparks of excitement that made Lloyd nudge him... Playfully. Eradan endured the sharp pain his frail arm felt, sheepishly grinning.
" I plan to inform father about it but, I'll leave a surprise." Lloyd seemed to be anxious about the surprise as well. His aura quite graceful. His eyes gleamed like the stars if the night. Shielding things that Eradan wasn't aware of.
Lips of a youth only curled in a smile. "How sly."
"Mhhnn... I might as well make things worse with a little lie"
The peaceful environment welcomed the chuckles of two Young masters. Partisans and maids nearby, watching them converse in bliss. A lively discussion it was. Their young master had been found.
The resonating laugher died down and Lloyd said lowly, almost a whispers "it's good to have you back... Francis."
Eradan jerked lightly, his heart skipping a beat. The name?He thought then ignored it.
Waves of warmth rushed within Eradan. Like a moving stream, burning with care and affection that Eradan thought he might melt. Although the name wasn't for him, but the affection within that statement grazed his skin. The previous owner was really lucky to be surrounded by such passionate people. The thought of it made Eradan think about his parents.
Eradan looked at a lotus flower dancing in response to the rippling pond. Up, down, it moved. An action caused by frogs and gentle currents.
" ...Me too elder brother." Eradan answered, using the word he was told to. And Lloyd's heart softened. He still felt that usual prick of regret on his heart and he was going to make up for his deed no matter what. He resoluted rigidly.
Eradan was getting a hang of the previous owner whom he dwelled in his body. For some reason, based on the words used by the man before him, the previous owner seemed to be missing. And that explained why he woke up in a deserted environment. But what led him there? Did he run off?
Lloyd's pupils narrowed when he noticed something unusual from his brother. What was he thinking about again?
The long strands of flowing blonde hair caught Lloyd's attention and He gently wrapped his fingers around a few strands. Now might be the best time to inquire about the change and everything since his little cousin was in a blissful mood.
"Little brother, what caused the sudden change of your hair? It's no longer black." He asked.
....??
Eradan looked up, into Lloyd's midnight blue eyes then drived to his hair held on the other's hand. He coughed nervously. Really? Was there some changes in this body. He really had no explanation to that. He just woke up and boom... Long, blonde, feminine hair.
Lloyd saw brows furrow. It was perhaps uncomfortable to his little cousin. Maybe he should just ignore it.
Eradan, obviously not having any information about that, answered sincerely "I..."
"It's okay if you don't want to little brother." Lloyd tried to shove out the unnecessary question if his little cousin was going to feel uncomfortable with it.
"No it's ok elder brother. I plainly don't know how." Eradan replied with a brief beam.
" I see... Perhaps your..." Lloyd closed his lips. He wanted to inquire about the eyes and the ability but he didn't want to sound too curious to his little cousin as it might be cringe and extensively uncomfortable to answer. He really needed to learn how to caution his words.
"Perhaps what elder brother?" Eradan asked gently.
"It nothing... "
Woof!
A certain creature that had been ignored and deemed invisible for a while decided to remind them that his presence should also be recognized. Both individual focused on it as it wiggled it's tails and yipped.
"A unique beast he is." Lloyd said still admiring the unraveling creature his cousin had brought back with. A protector and a companion. The sole factor that helped him find his lost cousin.
"You think?" Eradan scoffed, knowing fully well how stubborn and playful this companion of his was. Always consuming food and sleeping. Myst flashed beady eyes at him then barked in a low tone. Was his master disapproving how useful he was? Hmm?
Lloyd's voice served utmost justice for the wolf who couldn't brag about how helpful he really was. And not a space consuming creature his master taught of him as. "Yes it is. And is the sole aim of how I found you."
Blue eyes reflecting golden rays blinked " Found me?" For a moment Eradan's wasn't sure with what he heard. Blue eyes were sent to blue eyes then to midnight eyes. Was there something he was missing?
"Yes. Found you."
Lloyd began to narrate the story and Eradan felt really proud of Myst as Lloyd's story came to an end. Lloyd surmounted on how useful his beast was and Eradan could see that now.
Myst has really been cute and territorial towards him. slender fingers were sent to the creature's furs. Myst really deserved more. "Thank you." Eradan's lips parted in a bright smile and Myst yipped proudly. Both eyes connected while myst's tail waggled.
The sky had already darkened at the moment. Silver fireflies glamorously ornamenting their environment. They flew around like stars that it seemed magical to Eradan. The cool night rush was definitely calming.
"I think it's time we go inside." Lloyd stated and Eradan agreed. It was getting dark and dangerous. The three of them walked into their regal building. Ate. And went to sleep. Eradan cuddling Myst while they slept.
