Today was Monday, the fourth of September and the first day of Hogwarts. Unlike the past three days, there was no rain. Mondays have always been the bane of Albert's existence and he could help hate the start of the new week. Today was the first day of Hogwarts. Albert just awoke from a sound sleep and opened his eyes. He rose from the bed, walked to the window in his bare feet, and opened the window to let the morning breeze enter the room.
His three housemates are still in bed. For the rest of the evening, they talked about the Quidditch after reading the Daily Prophet article about it. Albert didn't intend to wake them up right away because they slept in late. Since classes didn't begin until nine o'clock, getting up now would be unfair to them. Following his customary morning ritual, Albert checked his class schedule, made sure he had the required textbooks, quills, ink, and parchments in his schoolbag, then picked up his bag and headed to the Gryffindor Common Room.
Today, as opposed to yesterday, there are people in the common area, some of whom were in his year.
"Shannon, good morning." Albert said hello to the girl in the same year who was reading Miranda Goshawk's "The Standard Book of Spells, Grade One"—likely for the morning's first Charms lesson .
"Good morning." Even though she knew the boy greeting her was a first-year student like herself, Shannon Wilson felt a little ashamed that she didn't know his name.
"Albert Anderson. You can call me Albert. Should we go to the Great Hall for breakfast together?" Albert asked after introducing himself and observing Shannon's embarrassment.
Shannon said, a little hesitantly, "Oh, okay... okay, Albert," picked up her books, and hurriedly followed him out of the common area.
She was trying to remember where she had been by looking around, but she didn't speak.
Shannon started moving, and Albert couldn't help but ask, "Do you still not know the way?"
If it weren't for the signs along the corridor, he almost went to the wrong classroom on the first day of University in my previous life. Hogwarts, however, lacked any signs. The complexity of Hogwarts is undeniable, and it is typical for those who haven't explored or experience topographical disorientation. A lack of direction, to put it simply.
Shannon waited for others in her year in the Common Room so she could get to the Great Hall because, as Albert had expected, she did not know how to get there.
To be completely honest, senior Gryffindor students enjoy watching the first-years running around like headless chickens more than they care to lead younger students. Since they shared a similar experience when they first started Hogwarts, Gryffindor has developed this stupid tradition. This had evolved into what it is today. Additionally, the fact that they got a good laugh out of it discouraged them from helping.
When Albert returned from the kitchen yesterday, he noticed a few senior students laughing as they watched the new students activate a Hogwarts defence mechanism and suffer injuries. They had no plans to intervene or offer help. Of course, this is one of a few exceptional cases! Most of the students will at least check on them and possibly offer help. I guarantee that if a Hufflepuff student is nearby, they will help them .
Shannon Wilson appeared relieved that they had arrived safely at the auditorium. At the Gryffindor table, Shannon and Albert sat down between the present first and second years. He then poured himself a glass of milk, which he downed in one breath while keeping his head raised. When he looked up, he noticed Shannon staring at him with her mouth ajar, as if she wanted to speak.
"What's wrong?" he enquired?
"It's nothing, but does it seem like you enjoy your milk a lot?" Shannon was attempting to talk to the young man in front of her.
"Enjoy?" Shaking his head, Albert "I can't say I enjoy it, but I have grown accustomed to it. Since I was seven years old every morning, I have had at least one cup."
As soon as Shannon opened her mouth, she found herself at a loss for words. In fact, it impressed her that Albert had the commitment to carry it out.
While Shannon was eating an omelette on the other side, Albert spread jam on his bread slices, put them together, and then took a sizable bite. Albert prepared two additional slices of bread after he had finished the jam sandwich in his hand. He sandwiched some salad between two slices of bacon and added a small amount of ketchup to the middle. additionally, he had a polenta blow.
Polenta is a dish of boiled cornmeal that was historically made from other grains. The dish comes from Italy. It may be served as a hot porridge, or it may be allowed to cool and solidify into a loaf that can be baked, fried, or grilled. The polenta made by the house-elves can only be described as average in comparison to his mother's. In actuality, this is not surprising because his mother loved to prepare this dish for special occasions. Albert and Shannon talked after finishing their breakfast about the upcoming Charm lesson.
"I've heard from Angelina that you've mastered most of the first-year curriculum. How did you pick up those spells?" Shannon spoke slowly, appearing to be giving her words some thought.
"That... mainly requires that you first have a genuine interest in it." After giving it some thought, Albert remarked. According to him, interest is crucial. He won't be willing to put in the time and effort necessary to learn a subject unless he is interested in it. "And then you take a lot of time to learn and practise."
"Interest?" pondered Shannon.
Actually, Shannon, a student from a Muggle family, never imagined that he would be a muggle born. She was inclined to believe he was of mixed blood or even a pure-blood. She still has a lot of questions at this point. Muggle wizards need time to get used to magic before they can learn spells. Most students from wizarding families are without a doubt superior to them.
"Actually, there isn't much cause for concern. You shouldn't be too far behind the others, since everyone gets their wand at age eleven." Suddenly, Albert realised how absurd his words were. He might not have been able to envision a group of Gryffindor students who enjoy learning. Hermione Granger is not typical of all students, so she ought to have been placed in Ravenclaw. She perfectly embodied their motto. 'Wit beyond Measure is Man's Greatest Treasure.'
"That includes you as well," Shannon asked.
"As Tony Hsieh said, 'No matter how good you are, there will always be someone better.' I'm betting on the fact there should be someone better than me in magic in our year," Albert said.
But even as he said this, he couldn't explain why he constantly felt a little conceited. Albert is unique compared other people in that he has the system and desires to learn more about magic. He can improve his spells through the system besides his own learning.
Albert's magic sensitivity and latent control of magic would be the same as the purebloods if I maxed the Wizarding Bloodline skill, but he has not done so. Albert is still debating whether to upgrade right away, which is unquestionably the most economical option, or wait for the Wizarding Bloodline level to be raised before upgrading.
The issue, however, is that Albert still has trouble deciding what he should do with his life and doesn't really want to remain in the Wizarding World. After graduating, he must set aside a significant amount of experience and skill points for himself in order to advance his various financial and economic skills.
After putting these thoughts out of his mind, Albert picked up "Disillusionment Charm and Co: The Basic Guide for Any Aspiring Aurors" and started reading slowly. Actually, he was quite content with how things were going right now. He can wait until he needs to use the saved experience and skill points.
