The rest of the week flew by. Sage always had something to look forward to at the end of classes, as Caspian had made a habit of grabbing her and kissing her in the shadows of the hall where no one could see. She had started to crave more intimacy with him, every kiss setting her alight with desire.
She could tell Caspian was restless, as well. Their kisses became longer and harder to walk away from when they heard someone coming around the corner. Sage had taken his advice, but couldn’t help but feel her fear creeping back up every time they had to hide.
She had another worry on her hands, too. Despite Nikolas promising to spend more time with her, he had recently made himself scarce. Sage barely saw him and more often than not, found herself eating alone and walking to classes by herself.
