Skyler's POV

"Are you sure you want to go to Isla Verde?" My dad asked.

"Yes," I replied.

"Mike might kill you for hurting his daughter," my father responded.

"I know, Dad. I can't ask Selena to marry me without asking her father for her hand in marriage," I responded.

"Good choice, at least, that tradition is still alive, and I am proud of you, Skyler. I didn't tell you what you need to do, but you knew exactly how to rectify your mistake." He replied.

"I want to propose to Selena before my surgery, Dad. I want to make sure she is still there when I come back to my house." I declared.

"Of course, that is the best thing you can do, Skyler," My father said as he tapped my shoulder.

"We will go to Isla Verde tomorrow; we should leave early so we will be back in the evening." He added.
