Lyle took advantage of the monster's hesitation, his body shifting into the darkness as he activated his new ability this time, disappearing in the shadow under his legs. He reappeared behind the beast's back, his spear crackling with energy. He quickly jumped, dodging the tail of the powerful monster, and with a powerful thrust, he drove the spear into the creature's spine, aiming for a critical point.

The beast roared in agony, its body convulsing as the spear pierced through its flesh, the powerful darkness that coiled around the spear attempting to rampage inside of it, but its power over shadows managed to inhibit the darkness by a bit.
