Chương 322: The Duke's Sacrifice

After the organization detonated one of their trump cards and unleashed the berserk alphas, the whole world became extremely wary of them. 

At least they were more cooperative this time than on the first day, when they were only forced to do so because of the empire's strength. As Spade said, unless everyone were in the same alarming situation, the world would not mobilize its own forces. 

"Son," the Duke barged inside the room where Arren often stayed during the day. It was his first time doing this without knocking or any polite gesture, which he usually does in the palace. 

Arren turned around and looked at his father, their eyes meeting with an indescribable expression on their faces. 

The Duke's face looked a bit furious as he heaved a breath, trying to calm himself. He stared at Arren and then looked at what he was wearing for a few seconds before returning to Arren's face as he clenched his teeth.
