Darren POV
I and Chen have been in the tennis court for the most stupid reason...
We were arguing over who was the most handsome and no matter how petty it may sound, I wasn't about to loose to some pretty guy..
I was equally handsome...
"Quit already!" Chen screamed from across while swinging his racket.
"In your dreams".
"We can try asking again!"
"And still get confused answers? No can't do" as I remembered the previous girls we asked that have been starring at us with red faces non stop...
"What? It's fun"
"It's annoying" and I heard him laugh.
" I still don't get why they like an ice block like you... Too cold! I still have to remind myself that your warm blooded". I scoffed, why does he have to exegerate so much.
Just then I scored a point and we were even.
"Hey! I was distracted!" I shrugged and he glared at me, but I found it cute...
"Let's ask that guy over there". I looked around and after seeing a group of girls by the side I saw a guy in really big hoodie that covered his whole face. He was passing along when Chen ran up to him and started talking. I couldn't hear a word but I saw that the guy kept trying to leave but Chen clung to him like glue and even made pleading faces. I saw the guys shoulders rise and fall, trust me I understand...
I watched as Chen literally dragged him to the middle of the court where I was, he sure knew how to get what he wants.
"So... Here's the question and I'd really like you to think properly and honestly before answering". He didn't say anything and just stood motionless... But there was something about him that commands respect and power.
The Aura around him was cold and intimidating and now that I looked at his hoodie, it wasn't just any hoodie, it was on the weekly fashion magazine and got sold out immediately it was revealed. I personally tried to purchase it online but it was sold out and it would take weeks to get another one but this guy had it on!!
I took another good look at him, who was this nigger and why don't I know about him?
"So between the two of us... Who's more handsome?" This jolted me back to reality as I also anticipated his answer. But instead I heard a scoff accompanied with a tired sigh and in the next second... The hood came off...
To say we were shocked was an understatement..
We were practically speechless not to mention hyptomised ....
How the freaking hell can someone look this.... Handsome?? I was a pretty tall guy but this nigger was obviously taller than I am....
"Me..."
Then he looked at the two of us.
"Even with the two of you combined". He said.
And it was true...
Then he started walking out..
"I'd date you..."
"I don't do guys"
"If you were a girl". I looked at Chen and back to the mysterious guy who equally raised his eyebrows at me and I nodded cos I understood.
"You should hang out with me... " I shot him a glare.
"My bad... Us... Sometime".
We both looked at each other and sighed.
" He always like this?" He asked.
"You have no idea". He turned around to leave.
"Hey, Darren" I stretched out my hand, something I hardly do. He turned around and took my hand.
"Skylar".
"Ok Sky". In a way I felt a connection with him, we could say nothing to each other but totally understand each other. That's a first time..
"And am Chen! Wait till I show you off, the girls would go crazy! So what's your type??
.... Big boobs..

.... Fat ass...?"
My eyes popped out of my sockets, what's this idiot saying to a total stranger??
"Don't mind him, he's just..." But he smirked instead.
"Yo kid... You don't look like it but I guessed you'd be it". He said while ruffling Chen's hair.
"Hey! Watch the hair!! And am not a kid!".
"Both" both I and Chen shot him a look of shock.
"You know what... You can call me kid, ... Daddy..". I burst out laughing... Something I haven't done for a month now. Sky smirked while Chen had the most mischievous smile on his face. And with that he put on his hoodie and walked out.
"I like him"
"What?!!" He was being dramatic again as he covered his mouth with his hands and his racket around his chest. I rolled my eyes.
"You hardly like anyone".
"He's cool"
"That's a first time.. very rare.. except me of course" he flashed me a smile.
"Who said I like you?"
"Oh... Totally forgot! You love me!" I shot him a glare.
"Chen..."
"Darren.." he replied in the same tone with me. How the hell did I meet this guy?
"And we're never getting separated" he said with a grin, more like devious smile...
Lyla POV
"What did I just see..?
Nelson POV
Right now we were in front of GREY HIGHSCHOOL, it was named after the founder and was one of the best schools in town and was always on par with our school. We always end up in the same position but rumor had it that we(Hilltop highschool) were actually better than them...
They were pretty tough but annoyingly proud!
From the students to the staff members, it was like a trait everyone in that school acquires but the only person that was a little bit sensible was the principal who tried to keep the school in check.
Some students were selected to go for a competition with them. Funny enough, we were always in a competition against each other, last year it was held in our school but this year was a little different cos it was divided into two. The first quarter was to be held here and the next one in our school.
The two pupular guys, Darren and Chen, Kathy, the school's prettiest girl, a certain girl who looked so tough and serious by name Anderson, the school basketball team, a particular guy I've come to see a little too often, he was as usual in an unbelievable oversized hoodie. I mean, I was a nerd but ... No.. won't he feel too hot? And the one person who's been making me so restless that I've adjusted my glasses more than necessary, Valarie...
She's been winking at me anytime we make eye contact and am sure my ears were blazing red... I feel like they could explode anytime soon.
We were a mixture of the most brilliant and most skilled students from science,arts, sports not forgetting the cutest...
On stage...
The principal was introducing us to to the students in the hall room where they were gathered with two of our teachers, Miss Rona and the basketball coach and most of the students here have been whistling at Miss Rona... Very crude set of people. We know she's hot but she's way out of their league. Even their male teachers couldn't keep his eyes at a place meanwhile she never spared them a glance.
"Now students, we all know why we're here"
"To kick there a**".
"That's true... But no use of foul language ok" and the students burst out laughing.
"Ok let's take our positions" and everyone went to their stand, we were at the left wing of the hall while our opponents were at the right.
A set of lines were forming on my forehead and am sure they're starting to get ugly. My ears are about to explode from the constant screaming of the girls in the audience whenever Chen or Darren come onstage, the guys were not an exception whenever Kate or Valarie came onstage.
"Hit me up when you're free"
"Make it two, the more the better". Some girls said from the audience when Chen was getting off the stage after getting a draw of same score with the opponent....
Sigh...
It's happening again...
Finally it was the big hoodie guy... He better be good.
He was only halfway the stage when a water can flashed before us from the audience and was going for him. But before we could react, he caught it like one casually grabbing a drink tossed by a friend. Everyone was looking at the audience with a murderous glare but Kathy... Why does she look blood thirsty????
"Thanks"

How possible is it for a highschool student to have such a deep voice?
I guess everyone was thinking the same thing cos everyone's attention was suddenly directed towards him.
Kathy POV...
That voice again... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I nearly committed murder! How can people be so childish? I won't tolerate anyone who tries to mess with my crush.
Skylar actually won this round!!! That's a first time and now, we're going to the basket ball court.
It was really big and spotless. Everywhere was literally glittering. By the side was a cheerleading team for the opponent team. We forgot to come with ours since we were in a hurry.
Just then, a deafening sound was heard... The girls were screaming while the guys were making wolf sounds and in answer to the obvious reason, Jace the captain of Grey's highschool basketball team stepped in with his team and a girl... Actually, blonde and pretty with blue eyes dressed in a short basketball sports wear and a big jacket which am guessing is Jace's own. The noise calmed down a bit and she walked till she was in front of him... Without minding the teachers and every other person... she kissed him fully on the lips before turning around and getting a smack on the a** by her obvious boyfriend, causing an uproar among the girls and the guys kept whistling. CRAZY!
Ten minutes later...
(Break)
Everyone of the players were panting hard some had minor injuries but that would surely affect their performances. These cheaters on the other side were playing dirty but no one was saying anything about it! Coach tried to talk but was told they were looking into it, obviously it was a lie...
Three players were down but the other team still looked perfectly fine...
"Why don't we fill in for them" Darren spoke up with Chen behind him. That was the first time I heard his voice since the hall room. We're not so close but we knew each other but I was closer to Chen compared to him.
"Can you play?" Said a cute guy in glasses, seriously why are nerds getting Soo... Cute...
