Salma held on to Gideon's hand as they walked through the small forest in front of Blue Lake until they reached the spot where he parked the car.
He pulled open the door to the shotgun seat and curtseyed as he ushered her in.
Salma eyed him in puzzlement but said nothing. She climbed into the car and he shut the door, before turning around to jump into the driver's seat.
"Are you comfortable? Can I start driving now?" Salma heard him ask, and she shot him an incredulous stare.
"Stop being weird."
"Weird? Being a gentleman is weird? I thought that was what you wanted." Gideon lifted his brows at her while turning on the ignition.
"Just be yourself, please. And can we not start arguing yet? I want to save my energy for what we have to do later."
"Yes, ma'am," Gideon responded, smiling as he drove away from there. Although he enjoyed their little banters, he was ready to respect her wish for that day.
The side story is out come and read.
