"This is absurd. We are threats? We didn't even know witches and werewolves and vampires exists until two days ago. How can we threaten something we didn't even know?" Nori questioned, directing her gaze to Cozan. 

Everything he said made no sense to her, but she didn't bother interrupting until Cozan mentioned the last part, pointing to her and Karina. 

"The essence of stripping you of your powers is to keep you in the dark. That way, you can't do anything to ruin their plans. But something unexpected happened to her..." Cozan pointed at Karina, "...that released some of her powers. That was why they came for you two."

"Something happened to her? Is it because she broke the curse?" Nori queried, confused. 

Karina, who had not said a word since they arrived at the house, fixed her intense gaze on Cozan, anticipating his answer. 

"What curse are you talking about?" Cozan also became confused, tilting his head to the side.
