"Who is she?" Gideon queried, hearing the way Skye asked the question, and the sudden crease between his brows.

"Who she is, does not concern you." Skye deadpanned, but Gideon let out a small laugh.

"I would have said she is your mate, but it doesn't seem like it. From your body language last night, you will not be this calm in the presence of your mate. You would accept her even if she were a creature lower than human. Say a cat for example."

Skye stepped on the brakes, bringing the car to an abrupt halt just a few meters from the gate.

Before Gideon could understand why he did that, Skye opened the door on Gideon's side of the car and kicked him out. He shut the door thereafter and moved the car, leaving Gideon behind.

"You can walk back from there. And bear in mind that you will end up with a cat." Skye said to Gideon via mind link, completely satisfied with what he just did.
