Chương 25: Evelyn, The Little Money-Grubber

Evelyn's green eyes were bright as she was touching the coins in her hands. The cold touch somehow brought a feeling to her heart that she had never experienced before.

It made her feel as if she could also earn.

She was not as useless as they used to call her.

Regan's face was cold but his red eyes couldn't help but go soft when he saw her like this.

His hand suddenly reached into the drawer again and from there, he took out ten more coins and said

"Here…this is the reward for what you did."

Evelyn looked at the coins in her master's hands but she was slightly hesitant. She already had been given so many dresses as a reward.

It was Regan who paid for those dresses.

Should she take these coins as well?

As if he could read her thoughts, Regan said calmly

"It is my duty to provide you with basic necessities. So this is the real reward."

However, his master's words confused Elias as he wondered when his master had bought clothes for him.

But he didn't say anything.
