Chương 90: Trouble in Humilau city
"Axew use dragon claw!" Iris commanded her Pokemon as she stood in an intense battle with Drayden.
"Haxorus! Use counter with dragon claw!"
Both Haxorus and Axew collided with their fierce claws causing a small collision, though the aftermath left Axew unable to battle,
"Axew!" Iris shouted as she ran to her Pokemon making sure he was ok.
"You're getting better," Drayden complemented, crouching near Axew and treating him with a potion,
"Don't worry he'll be better in no time at all,"
Iris looked at her friend worried,
Drayden pats Iris's head and smiled,
"You're going to be a great trainer one day,"
"Drayden sir," A soft monotoned voice could've been heard in the room,
Recognizing the voice Drayden turned to see who it was and saw a woman wearing a lab coat with green eyes and black hair neatly done in a long ponytail.
"What are you doing here Adams," Drayden said blocking Iris and Axew from getting too close to her.
"That's how you'll treat a long-time friend Drayden? I'm hurt really."
She adjusted her glasses and puts her hands back into her labcoat,
"And to think that out of the kindness of my heart, I came here to tell you what was about to happen."
"Look Drayden, You don't have to worry about me taking revenge on you or the village of Dragons," She said taking out a pokeball and expanding it.
"I'm not that kind of person anymore,"
"However, If you don't call off your Pokemon I will use force," She said, referencing Drayden's Haxorus which towered over her waiting for instructions from Drayden.
"Haxorus, return," Drayden commanded taking out his Pokeball and putting him back inside.
"smart decision," She said, putting the Pokeball back into her lab coat.
"Now, in a few Team Rocket is going attack here and Celestia in a few hours."
Drayden's heart sank upon hearing the news,
"Who told you this?" He asked,
"That's not important, all you need to know is that you and your little dog are doomed if you don't do something soon." A smile formed on her face,
"Who knows, maybe I'll like that."
"What did you say about Iri-" Drayden got up in a heap of rage but was immediately humbled when Adams' Haxorus came out stopping Drayden in his tracks by keeping the axe attached to Haxorus's face by Drayden's neck.
"Calm down old man, I'm not your enemy here."
Prof.Adams stretched her arms wide and look up to the ceiling with a bright smile,
"If anything, Your real enemy will be here any minute with a white dragon shooting flamethrowers in the sky!"
She then looks at Drayden once more before continuing,
"So, stop wasting your time with me, I want you to be alive when I destroy this shitty world and make it new,"
Haxorus lets Drayden go and returns to its pokeball,
"So, with all that said," She waved him off and walked away,
"Sayonara, Drayden."
As she leaves the ground started to shake and the cry of a Pokemon could've been heard outside.
"PREEEEEEAAAH!!!"
"Oops," Prof. Adams said to herself from outside as she looked at the sky,
"Perhaps I took a bit too long to warn him," She smiled as she left the village before the chaos began.
"Damn it!" Drayden shouted hitting the ground filled with rage,
"What's going on," Iris said, holding her Axew close,
"Nothing, Iris everything's going to be fine," Drayden said not turning to her so she wouldn't see the look of fear and dread on his face,
"Go find somewhere to hide, I'll be back." Drayden got up from the ground and started to head outside, leaving Iris and Axew in the building,
As Drayden leaves he dials a number in his phone and puts it to his ear,
"We need back up in Humilau city, Asap!"
