“Seriously, you don’t have to do this…” I said while praying that he would change his mind.
“You’re right. I don’t have to do this, but I do want to do this…” he said stubbornly without backing down.
“Well, fine. Can you just…stand over there for now?” I asked while indicating with my finger a spot close to the counter.
Prince Leonard grinned at me before obediently taking a few steps to stand at the spot that I had indicated. Now that I’ve somewhat succeeded in creating some space between us, I felt like I could focus more on the task at hand. I reached for a white apron that had been prepared and slipped it on over my dress. After that, I took out the ingredients that Salena had brought over and began preparing the pot. All the while, I was conscious of the prince’s eyes on me as he followed my every movement.
