Chương 14: King of the dead
A man opened a letter. After reading it, he simply gave a military salute to the dead lord.
Looking around, he asked his men.
"Has our support arrived?" He asked.
"Sir, the adventurers have come." Said the soldier to his immediate superior.
And then he seeped out of the tent, looking at the 100s of hired men. He scanned them and signed,,
"report to each of them what is on this parchment." The man with a gloomy expression.
"We need all the help we can get. Each of us can't afford to lose this expedition." Turning his back on the soldier, the large man emitted a striking temperament.
"I may not have a family anymore, but you all have one to return to." Rex said, reminiscing about the past.
"We will ride when the sun rises. We will attack the beings who lurk at night, under the cover of the light," Rex said, as his emotions and thoughts caused the sky to surge.
"The light will spread our courage, FOR THE REALM." the man said, boosting the morale of his men.
"FOR THE REALM," the soldiers chanted.
In Torah
A group of 4 walked past the city gate, admiring the scenery.
"Why is everyone here so depressed? Did a famous figurehead die again?" said enora
"My plants hear of dead men feasting upon the flesh in far cities," said Krista
"If it's far, how did the rumor spread here?" Said Eric.
"The city is closer than others," replied the girl
Max then asked, "Since there's a rumor, there should be a task right"
"Are you saying we should take it, and also you just joined? Why see you being so meddling?
"Oh, sorry about that. Been a while since I talked to people," apologized max.
"Am not complaining, but it's just weird," said the girl
"Alright you two, were here," said Eric
As the group arrived in front of an inn, and then they pushed open the door and stood in front of the desk was a short lady at 4'1
"How long will you be staying?"
"1 night" replied Krista
"That will be 100 CP or 1SP," said the woman
And then Krista thought and brought out the money and the woman skillfully swiped it
"Enjoy your stay," the woman replied with a fake smile.
"The group went to their rooms,"
Lying in separate rooms.
Eric and max had a talk.
"So Max huh," Eric asked, probing the newcomer.
"What your origins" Eric probed more.
"You couldn't have popped out of a rock, could you"?
Max then chuckled, and said, "No, am not Sun Wukong."
"Haha, I don't know who that is," said Eric, somewhat embarrassed
"That's unfortunate," said max
"Am just some kid in an abnormal family that loves inventing dangerous stuff, some which could scar this world, more than it already has at least." Replied Max.
Eric then looked on, with a shocked and horrified face, and said, "What?"
"They were inventors," clarified max
"So where are they?" asked Eric
"Oh,they were killed," replied max.
"Oh"
"Am sorry for asking," apologized Eric
"You don't need to apologize. I'll force the apologies out of the mouth of their killers," said Max with a blank expression.
"Damn kid, you are ruthless!" exclaimed Eric as he relaxed his tenseback
"Haha, sorry about that!" Said Max apologetically
In the other room....
"Why did you allow him in?"
"Huh"
"That max guy, he gives me chills"
"too bad"
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
"Did your type change? Why are you dodging all of my questions," said enora
"On a serious note, I allowed him cause." Krista thought and then said. "We need someone of his skills! It will complete our team. And I'll invite another person who I expect will arrive here soon, so best be ready"
Unexpectedly, enora splashed water towards Krista
"Why you?" said Krista, as she splashed back
And they splashed back and forth.
The scene zooms out
In the dark of nights Of Torah
A brown man with blue eyes and a muscular, lean physique walked into a bar.
The bartender was serving drinks, then looked in the man's direction.
The man dragged back a chair and sat on it.
The bartender said, "I never thought you would come back here again."
"This city disgusts me," said the man.
"You say that, but you disgust them, way much more," the bartender replied.
"Was the decision I made wrong?" the man asked, wanting to know how his old firmed will answer.
"If I say yes, will you stop?" You he bartender asked with hope in his words.
The man then evilly smiled.
"One day," the man whispered
"Everyone will regret it." With an increased tone, the man uttered.
The bartender signed, "Alot people come here, but yet! You are my most disappointing customer."
The man then snorted, "The empire has deceived you!but since I can't convince you. This will be the last time we meet. I will end our fate here," the man said as lighting surged from his veins.
The bartender then warned, "You can still go back."
The brown man then evilly smiled and stared at the bartender, dead in the eyes, "You can go to death."
The man moved his hands and the lighting struck the bartender, blasting him backwards."
The people in the bar ran out and the man, and bartender stared at each other.
"You can no longer be redeemed," the bartender said with his last breath.
"Rojin!"
