Chương 22: Chapter eighteen

        Chapter 18

Alex scrolled down a random website on her laptop, still upset about what happened to Gabriel. She hadn't been doing much of anything, and wasn’t planning on starting anything. She still felt like she had no energy or motivation.

She heard Lucifer call to her in her head and tried to push him out,

Alex rolled her eyes and shut her laptop forcefully.

          Lucifer tried to explain.

, Alex interrupted.

Alex figured it would be something like what the horsemen were doing, or trying to do, which was kill basically everyone.

Lucifer ordered, getting serious.

. Lucifer ordered her, forcing her to move.

Alex leaned against a tree in a small park on top of a hill, trying to ignore the destruction going on around her. On top off all the things Lucifer made her make, like floods and forest fires, her emotions were causing people to die weirdly around her.

Alex could hear people screaming and calling for help, but there was nothing she could do about it. She heard the tree snap above her and easily stepped aside as it fell, splashing into flood water. Alex sighed, “I didn’t realize it’d flood so quickly…” She looked at the small town that was completely flooded, only the roofs of houses visible.

“This sucks.” Alex grumbled, teleporting herself to another random town. Although Lucifer ordered her to cause destruction, she was able to pick where it happened. She tried to control the damage her emotions were causing, but it wasn’t working very well. She was upset about Gabriel, and angry at Lucifer and it was hurting innocent people, making her angry at herself.

“I wish I could just stop.” Alex muttered, sitting crossed legged on a rock, in the middle of a field.

“I can help with that,” Alex slid of the rock and turned around to look at the pack of demons standing a few feet in front of her.

“I don’t need your help,” Alex pulled out an angel blade Gabriel had gotten her.

“Well, you want to get away from Lucifer right? The only way to do that is to die.” The demon smirked, eyes blinking black.

“You're with my dad. Won't he get pissed?"

“Oh well.” One of the side demons said, shrugging.

“Then I guess it won't matter if I kill you, huh?” Alex prepared to fight the demons, slightly unsure she could take on all of them.

“You think you, alone, can take all of us? Missy, you’re still part human, that’s not gonna happen.” The leader shook his head.

“Honestly, Lucifer will just bring me back anyway, so you’re just going to get yourselves killed.” Alex pointed out.

The demons seemed to realize their mistake, but Alex wasn’t letting them get away now. She teleported behind the group, taking out the unsuspecting demons. Alex took out the first few, then noticed the leader trying to smoke out. “Oh no you don’t.” Alex teleported to him and placed her hand over the smoke, forcing it back into the vessel’s mouth.

She then stabbed the leader, not caring about the vessels themselves. She could see a fire spreading that she had set on the other side of the town. “It’s here already?!” Alex barely avoided an attack from one of the two demons that were left.

“Hey, you remember Matt? Huh? The guy you got killed!” One of the demons yelled as he continued to attack Alex, who just dodged his attacks.

“That wasn’t my fault!” Alex yelled back, knocking the knife the demon held from his hands. “You wanna blame someone blame the angels!”

“But you were the reason they were there! He had to save your ass! Cause poor little Alex can’t handle herself! Look at you!” He taunted.

“Really?” Alex asked, stabbing the other demon. “Cause I seem to be handling myself perfectly fine right now.” She found an opening and stabbed the last demon in the stomach. “Douchebag…”

She looked around at the once beautiful field that was now quickly burning down.

Alex asked Lucifer.

Alex drove up to Bobby’s, planning on asking him where the boys were, or just helping him out with everything. She got out of her car and walked up to the back entrance of the house, knocking on the door.

She could hear Bobby’s wheelchair rolling on the wood floors as he came to answer the door. “Alex?” He asked, pulling open the door.

“Hey…” Alex smiled a bit. “I didn’t know where the guys were so I figured I’d come here…I could help with tracking Pestilence if you want?”
