Chương 13: Trouble in Asgard-2

While Asgard had already started its conquest, the rest of the nine realms weren't just planning to watch as Asgard slowly conquered all the realms one by one. They were anxious as Asgard already was on the verge of capturing Nidavellir.

For the first and last time, the realms gathered their armies together since they knew that they can't resist Asgard's might alone.

Vulcan flew across the wild forest on Embra as he listened to Heimdall's report.

As he came near the palace , He saw the shield protecting the palace from multiple spaceships bombarding it with plasma cannons.

He recognised the ships belonging to Alfheim and Nilfheim from their designs and flags. Asgard's ships didn't focus on them because in Asgardian's minds those fools were attacking an indestructible shield personally made by Odin and enchanted with runes.

Asgardian's were focused on evacuating people to the shelter and while preparing for the main fleet of the enemies.

These few ships might have gotten inside Asgard avoiding Heimdall's eyes using some new technology by surprise was Heimdall's reply and he won't let it happen again.

Heimdall was able to see them after being aware of the technology and using more god force to locate them.

Vulcan though wasn't sure about that as he knew this was dark elves technology and was still in development phases for it will be completed in till convergence and he planned to let them complete it so he could steal it .

Seeing that there wasn't a dark elves ship, he was able to understand that dark elves didn't plan to draw Asgard's attention soon and will only help the enemies from shadows like selling the cloaking technology.

Embra and Vulcan soon bathed the enemy ships in their breaths from behind the enemies. The enemy attacked Vulcan with their cannons which were dodged by Embra as they destroyed all the enemies from outside the palace.

He then moved towards the rainbow bridge as most of enemies headed towards to the himinbjorg to control the bifrost and bring their armies inside Asgard.

On the way to the rainbow bridge, Vulcan saw various asgardians defences actually used to repelling the invaders unlike getting their ass handed to them in the second dark elves invasion.[Thor 2]

Surrounding the himinbjorg were the Asgardian air fleet as it created a formation using the ships to not let any enemy ship go to himinbjorg.

While the Asgardian Einherjar fought against the elite of Nilfheim and Alfheim, Heimdall confronted an enemy that sneaked inside the himinbjorg.

Heimdall already knowing that he can't defeat the realmlord Kazaram as only Odin can match the strongest being in Nilfheim and ruler of Hel.[Hel is capital of Nilfheim] .He still attacked with his sword expecting to land in Valhalla at the end of battle.

They fought for a while in which heimdall shows himself worthy of the title watchmen of the gods as he protected the bifrost even when the gap in the strength between the two was very large.

The battle outside himinbjorg was soon finished when Vulcan on Embra's back joined it which made the battle end quicker as Asgard was already winning.

Vulcan seeing this quickly went inside himinbjorg only to find heimdall on the ground injured and unable to move while a demon or man in full black armor with horns who was radiating a powerful dark aura was in the process of opening the bifrost.

Vulcan immediately used his god mode and attacked with his strongest god breath using a quarter of his reserves. Unfortunately the attack was blocked by a black forcefield made of dark magic covering Kazaram and the bifrost key.

This made a frown appear on Vulcan's face while a satisfied expression covered Kazaram as he completed his objective and now he will take Asgard hostage along with the queen and the crown prince that would make Odin consider twice before attacking thus Odin will also have to follow his conditions.

Kazaram planned to use the bifrost to kill Odin if he didn't comply with the conditions even if it meant destroying Nidavellir.

Vulcan though wasn't interested in being a hostage for Kazaram to use against Odin as he knew Odin will abandon him and not surrender to anyone, like any asgardian warrior.

Vulcan ordered the evacuation of area surrounding himinbjorg and setup a defence further the bridge for enemies that will come.He placed heimdall on Embra's back as she took him and left for the defence line as he was the only that remained to face Kazaram.

Vulcan for the first time was in battle that he had almost no chance in winning so he was feeling quite excited thanks to asgardian genes and all his instincts developed in wild forest were screaming at him to run since the enemy might not be able to kill him on Asgard but Kazaram using dark magic can still do many gore things to him.

The bifrost was soon open as army of troops consisting of light elves ,demons and frost giants marched on to Asgard seeing which made Heimdall feel responsible for was his duty to ensure otherwise.

The Asgardian troops might not be able to compete with them without the ones that went onto Nidavellir.

Vulcan seeing Kazaram approach him began to focus all his attention on the realm lord. Vulcan started the attack as he used his god sword to attack Kazaram which was countered with orbs of dark magic thrown at him while Kazaram used a scythe to try and chop Vulcan's head.

Vulcan barely dodged the attack and sent one slash of his own towards kazaram's head which was blocked by the scythe but he got sent back crashing with the orbs attacking him.

Kazaram not giving Vulcan to react any time kicked Vulcan in the lungs which also was going to Vulcan crashing but was stopped when he was choked by Kazaram who was lifting Vulcan in the air by his neck.

Vulcan getting desperate used all his concentration to manipulate his godforce into his hands thus igniting blue flames on the patterns on his body while simultaneously launching a god blast on Kazaram from point blank range which was responded back by an more powerful orb of dark magic .

Kazaram responded on instinct when he sensed Vulcan's attack was life threatening so he didn't care about the consequences and the resulting force between the two attacks killed most of the army and even he was injured .

Even bifrost was damaged and on the verge of closing so he retreated inside it alone to Nilfheim where the alliance gathered leaving the remain army to be killed by asgardians.

Vulcan was also sent flying across the bridge but was saved by Embra and his injuries were later healed by medics.

Heimdall though was in depression and was acting like he did treason by not fulfilling his duty. This was only partially correct as he still tried his best but the enemy was too powerful so Vulcan only gave him a light punishment.

The aftermath of the battle was that the fallen soldiers were given viking funeral after which the remaining asgardians and Vulcan feasted and celebrated victory for they repelled the intruders and foiled their motives not knowing the invaders had another purpose hidden from only but a few people.
