Chương 138: 11.04

"It's a pretty straight forward procedure. I'll do the initial approach. Robbins, you can do the cutting. Campos and Graham will assist." Looking down at the ice cream in her hands, Nicole let out. "God, this is good. Did you ever try this? Banana Clambake?"

"My Alice loves that one." Helena smiled. "Though I certainly don't let her have it at eight am."

"Does it have actual clams?" Graham asked.

"You're very perky today." Arizona pointed out.

"Why not? Life is short. And at this point, I can eat whatever the hell I want for breakfast. Right?" She shot the two pediatric surgeons a look.

"Right. You've earned it." The blond covered it up.

"I just wish I could do that and stay as trim as you do." Graham let out, making Helena scrunch up her nose, as Arizona's mouth fell open.

"Shut up, Graham." Nicole let out.

——

"I'll finish prep. See you in there." Graham offered, leaving the women in the scrub room.

"God, that was worth it." Nicole let out, throwing away the ice cream cup. "I'm trying to get through every flavor they have before I cash in."

"Please don't say that..." Arizona let out, as Helena simply shook her head, as she scrubbed.

"Why? Why be so serious?" The woman shrugged.

"Because we're about to operate on a pregnant woman and we have no idea if you're in any condition-" The blond explained.

"I told you." Nicole cut her off.

"You told us !" Helena snapped. "You told us you have a brain tumor. You dropped the bomb, and then nothing else. I-I don't know anything else about you! I don't know if your married, if you have kids, family..."

"That's not the deal." Herman corrected. "You get access to my knowledge. It doesn't give you access to my life."

"I'm not asking for access to your , I'm asking f-for, I don't know, next of kin. Because I keep imagining in my head if something were to happen, and I wouldn't know who to call!" The short girl let out.

"God, you are so annoying!" Herman let out.

"And you're frustrating!" The brunette short back.

"Ok. Divorced. No kids. Marry the work, Campos, Robbins. It's always there for you." She advised.

"So, uh- so, no family?" Arizona asked.

"I have work. And you two, and... Graham." She furrowed her brows at herself. "God, that's the saddest thing I've ever said."

"What kind of tumor is it?" The blond tried.

"Enough. What is this? Did you two decide to interrogate me together?!"

"We need to know if this could affect your motor skills or your cognition." Arizona argued.

"You don't need to know anything that I haven't-"

"I need to know if I'm helping you treat patients with a time bomb in your head!" It was the older fellow's time to snap.

"Robbins, I have a team of neurosurgeons who are more experienced than you are. So your input at this point, is nothing more than an invasion of my privacy. ."  She warned. "Drop it."

"So it's inoperable." Arizona realized.

"Who says? Have the Shepherds, either of them, looked a it? Because they do inoperable, all of the time." Helena tried.

"That's it. You're done. You can't focus. You're off the surgery. Graham can do it. Go do consults." Nicole ordered, as Helena simply left the room.

"Fine." Arizona ripped her mask out.

——

"And she kicked us off of the surgery! !" Helena let out, as she walked with Mark through the cafeteria.

As they sat by Alex, Meredith and Maggie, the heard the latter say. "Man, your husband can really dig in his heels."

"You shouldn't have called me. He's digging in his heels to piss me off." Meredith let out.

"Maybe it's a you thing." Alex suggested.

"Stop it."

"I'm just saying."

"You got heels, too. You dig." Helena agreed, taking a piece of tomato to her mouth. "You both dig."

"She agreed with me to piss him off?" Maggie asked, a bit offended.

"I agreed with you because you're right! But your shouldn't have called me, not if you think I can sweet talk Derek." Meredith told her sister.

"I called you because you're the best surgeon. Why would you say that?"

"Uh, because it's a Meredith thing." Mark let out, as Callie sat by them.

"You're pouting. Why are you pouting?" Helena asked her friend, tilting her head. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." She muttered.

"Torres..." Mark insisted.

"I have a patient who got hurt and Hunt thinks it's my fault. I'm divorced again and Arizona thinks it's my fault. And basically I destroy whatever I touch." Callie let out, as Helena tapped her shoulder, comfortingly.

"So, by nothing, you meant everything." Maggie told them.

"What's up with you?" Callie asked. "You are pouting, too."
