Chương 166: Amidst an army of fools
Sometimes taking a walk is something that helps one think. To clear their head and come up with answers. Sometimes, enjoying the countryside can be refreshing; a way to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of civilization. But sometimes it wasn't nearly so pleasant. Now was one of those times.
After the battles had ended, the army at the western front split apart, with a quarter remaining behind to tend to the aftermath, while the remaining three quarters returned to the east to celebrate and tend to their own lands and govern those that needed governing. Those that remained behind might have been viewed as more noble, but it was true that the eastern domains needed their nobility to return in order for things to be run properly.

AngelAsphodel There we go! Here's the extra chapter I promised, though unlike the original plan, this ended up being twice as long as I initially expected. It did end up being a bit wordy, so sorry about that, but I hope you enjoyed Aurora's POV and hope that this chapter also helped demonstrate some of what's going on throughout the grand duchy.
I'll be honest, I was worried that readers might have already forgotten these characters seeing as they were only really around for the taniwha arc, but they will continue to be relevant going forward as they each play their part. Please let me know though if you remember them, I'm curious!
