Ryuu must have turned in his sleep because when Jayde woke up they were on their sides, facing each other. She smiled softly, taking in his peaceful features. His silvery blonde hair was sticking every which way, and his breathing was slow and even. The sheet had slid down to his hips, and her eyes trailed over his chest.
She sat up with a gasp when her eyes landed on the mark on his chest, awed that it was so vibrant. The dragon was a silvery blue, with what looked like a red arrow with no feathers along its body. The head of the arrow was half done, curving up on the left side only. There was a red curve with the arrow, almost an infinity sign though the ends didn’t connect, and in the center of the dragon, overlapping the arrow, was a black target symbol. Or it looked slightly like a target to Jayde, though the lines through the circle were diagonal from each other instead of vertical and horizontal.
