Chương 8: Join Us...?
Kangwoo? What is he doing here? Wait, if he's here then that means… I then looked up to where Elise was taken and saw the youngest with two more members of Out4Blood coming out from the door above. Elise was a bit surprised but didn't resist when the youngest gently took her away from the man who held her captive as the brown-haired guy with the other one pushed the captors away. And then from the door near the one who blocked me came out their last member.
"[You got a lot of nerve touching my prey…]" Kangwoo said that had my brow rising at him. Prey…? Do I look like an animal to him…? In annoyance, I tried getting out of his hold but he just held me even closer, so close that our faces almost met, "[Stop struggling or you'll fall.]" His face was so near mine that I blushed looking at him. I hate to admit it but he is quite handsome and it's not every day that one could be this close to someone so good-looking. But his smirk at my reaction ruined the moment.
"Tsk…" We hear the man near us as he attempts to get past the member who's blocking his way but in a blink of an eye, the man has been subdued by the member. Holy cow, are they also ninjas…? The man was almost twice his size but still, he managed to pin him down like that. I gulped as my thoughts of outrunning them might not be the best idea after all. I then glanced up to where Elise was and saw that the men had also been restrained by the other members. Elise seemed to be alright which had calmed my nerves.
"[Come on, let's have you both back to your friends]". Kangwoo's voice then echoed in my ears as he gently put me down and gave me his jacket. It was a small gesture but I felt a throb inside me… No, no Jeanne you shouldn't, it would've been fine if he's just an ordinary person but he's a vampire, all he wants from you is your blood. I shouldn't fall into his trap.
"There they are!" We then heard Vince exclaiming from afar, they had then run towards us. The group had escorted Elise and me out of the open-air stairways and restrained the unknown men. The police were also there, apparently, the group's manager had called them as we were being saved by the members, he was also the one who spotted me going after the men in an attempt to rescue my friend.
"Elise!"
"Justin!"
The two youngsters were reunited with a hug as they both cried. Justin had then apologized first, "Waah, I'm sorry Elise, I should've been there for you.".
"No, no, no, it was all my fault, I was the one who got carried away… Waah…". I then sighed at the sight of my other friends as they rushed toward us.
Ebony had then hugged me, "Oh, Jeanne… We are so glad that you two weren't hurt. Please don't do that again.".
"Hey, man, thanks for saving my friends." Vince had then extended his hand towards Kangwoo who smilingly shook his hand.
"No problem, we just did what's right."
Vince then gave him a nod and then also thanked the other members.
"Thanks for saving, Jeanne, Choi Kangwoo." Louie offered him a handshake to which Kangwoo stared at first before shaking his hand.
"Glad to help… She's a brave woman."
"Yeah, she is…"
What's this? I feel an invisible tension within these two. Nah, it must be just my imagination. Kangwoo had then turned to me and said, "You should be more careful next time." His piercing violet eyes stared at me so intensely that I had to look elsewhere as I felt my face heating up.
"Y - Yeah… I will…" I briefly glance back at him only to see him smirking at me. What the? Is he toying with me? I then subtly glare at him.
The police had then taken custody of the men and apologized for the incident. The captured men were actually local criminals that target tourists visiting the Tokyo Tower. They said that we're lucky that we were seen and were helped or else we'll fall victim to their kidnap-for-ransom scheme.
"[Thank you, officers…]" Eiji, their manager dealt with the police and then turned to us. He seemed to be fluent in Nihongo too. "Alright, the police will handle things from here on… How are you two feeling?".
"I'm good, thank you so much." Elise had then bowed low at him and then blushingly turned to the youngest along with the two members that had saved her. She bowed low again and tried to speak in Korean, "[Th - Thank - you! F - For save-ing me! A - A fan, I…]" But then she gave up, "As a Reddie, I'm so grateful! I'll support you all the way!".
"You're welcome! We're glad to help." The youngest had then said happily in English which made Elise and Justin surprised, "We're also grateful for your support.".
"You… Do you understand English…?" Justin reacted that the youngest only smiled and then gestured for them to be quiet about it. The two fans looked at each other and then nodded enthusiastically at him.
"So…" Vince had then said, gaining our attention, "Do we continue our tour today or should we just go back to our hotel room?". My other friends and I then looked at each other, clearly, we were lost at what to do. The earlier incident had indeed ruined our mood but an outside voice had caught our attention.
"Well, why not join us?" The youngest member of Out4Blood had then suggested.
His members looked at him surprised but then Kangwoo supported the suggestion, "Sounds good to me, don't worry our security details are wandering around, you're safe with us.". Oh no, no, no, no!
"Um, it's a kind offer but -"
"Wow, really!?" Elise had cut me off with her excited reaction, "Can we really…? We're not going to be a nuisance?" Kangwoo smiled as he looked at Eiji who jerked a bit before checking his phone, checking their itinerary, I guess…?
"Uh, nope, nope, today's fine… We're just going to explore some parks and visit the Hachiko Statue."
Elise and Justin's faces had then lighted up as they looked at me. Ugh, their happy faces were hard to resist so I just nodded in agreement. "Fine, fine, whatever you decide…" The kids then looked at Vince who was also defeated in their shining faces.
He then said, "Okay then, if we're not going to be a bother then we'll gladly accept your offer.". The juniors then cheered so loud since they'll be spending time with their idols.
