Emmanuel opened his eyes and found himself sorrounded by faces he couldn't recognize. The only person he knew of in the room was Boniface, while the others that rounded the altar he was currently bound to were all strangers. The wound on his chest had healed, indicating that he was worthy to be part of the Trinity.

The blade used for the ritual Boniface had performed on him was no ordinary blade. It was termed the Dagger that decides fate. It had been imbued with energy from from the Tomb of Tobit, as the rumors said. Once impaled by the blade, it could kill or grant you power depending on how worthy it found you. People who weren't strong enough to house the power that would be granted to them were destroyed immediately. Those who weren't found worthy at all died from the stab.

Emmanuel was used to the stabbing ritual, however he couldn't recall anything that involved making use of an altar, what exactly was going on?
