Phil Coulson convinced Melinda May to join the team. "May, let me introduce you. Wesley Gibson is a level seven agent and a member of our team. He is mainly helping me. He will leave after the team is stable."
Wesley stepped forward and held out his hand. "It's good to see you again. It's hard to find someone I don't know at headquarters, unless they're new." Wesley had identified everyone at headquarters.
"Yes, we met. I didn't expect Sir to join this group." Melinda May reached out and shook Wesley's hand, but her expression didn't change at all. It was still cold.
"That's right. One of you is Knight and the other is Knight. I hope we can work well together. Melinda remembers to report tomorrow morning. We'll go first." Phil Coulson and Wesley left headquarters directly and returned to the secret airport.
After boarding the plane, Phil Coulson led Wesley into his office. "These are the details of the other two people. Take a look first. What do you think of them?" Phil Coulson handed over two folders, and Wesley took them and began to read.
"They're all new. Although they're technicians, they still need to be trained. Your team is operating independently. Danger is everywhere. Every member had better be useful," Wesley said after reading it.
"How about helping me train them?"
"Me? There's no problem with shooting, but I can't fight. I'm an amateur. You know this. Why don't I let Melinda teach them? Her level should be above mine. To be honest, if I can, I want to learn from her." Wesley did want to learn. What he learned from the Assassin Brotherhood was not systematic.
"Well, I will talk to Melinda. We will rest here today. What do you want to eat for dinner?"
"It's just the two of us. Why don't we go out and eat?"
"Don't you want to try the kitchen on the plane?"
"Not interested…"
Early the next morning, the hangar began to bustle with activity. The staff were making final preparations, and Phil Coulson came to Wesley with a file. Wesley was used to getting up early and was shaking his fist at a sandbag. He now needed to get used to constantly adapting to a stronger body. The energy of the Tesseract was magical. Apple controlled the energy and let Wesley absorb it slowly. Five times that of a normal person was not the limit.
"Bang! Bang!" Wesley waved his fists and punched the sandbag heavily. The sandbag kept swaying.
"This is our first target. You can take a look when you're done. Our team members are almost here."
"Okay, I'll go wash up first and read it when I'm done." Wesley stopped and took a towel to wash up. Then he sat on the sofa in the living room and began to read.
The document recorded a recent incident, an explosion. A passerby rushed in to save someone and then jumped down from a few floors high and disappeared.
Wesley, on the other hand, knew that the first season of the American drama SHIELD agents began with this incident, and their enemy, the Clairvoyant, was John Garrett. Unfortunately, SHIELD could not make this matter public. Although he could read minds, his "mind reading" could not be used as evidence, and SHIELD could not publicly declare the existence of Hydra, which was a problem.
"It seems that this special agent team is still useful. If necessary, I can pull them to SHIELD headquarters." Wesley sat there and thought about it. "I don't know if Project Insight has started yet. Three motherships."
"Morning." While Wesley was thinking, Melinda May came in with the luggage.
"Morning, I didn't expect you to come so early. Have you had breakfast?"
"I've eaten. I need to check the preparations before flying." Melinda put the luggage directly into a room and then went directly to the cockpit in the front of the plane.
Wesley followed her directly and watched her check on the plane. "I've heard a lot about your situation. I hope we can work well together in the future. And I hope I can learn some fighting skills from you. How about that?"
"You are a member of the Avengers. Your strength is above mine. Why do you want to learn from me?" Melinda May looked at Wesley strangely.
"Hehe, don't get me wrong, my fighting style doesn't have the slightest pattern. As a Chinese, I think you know what I mean, so I want to learn systematically. Anyway, I'm going to stay in this team for a while, so I might as well learn more."
"Sure." It was really cool. His face was expressionless and his words were simple. Wesley turned away from the driver's seat and walked to the tail.
The interior of the plane was divided into three floors. The bottom floor was a garage and a laboratory. The middle floor was a room, a living room, a meeting, and so on. The third floor was Phil Coulson's territory. Wesley walked to the tail of the bottom floor. A man and a woman were moving things up. They must be Gemma Simmons and Leo Fitz.
"Do you need my help?" Wesley came down and smiled at them both.
"Oh, I know you. You… you're 'Sir', right?" Leo Fitz exclaimed.
Wesley was surprised. Was he so famous? Why didn't he know? "Yes, it's me, Wesley Gibson. You can call me Wesley."
Leo Fitz hurriedly put down his things and reached out to shake hands. "Hey, it's good to see you. Your things will be told in school. Although you've only been in SHIELD for a year, your promotion speed is super fast. The smart program you wrote for the mothership is really good."
Wesley shook his hand, and Gemma Simmons came up to him. "Hello, what are you doing here? Have you joined our team? Aren't you a member of the Avengers?"
"Okay, let's talk about this later. Now we have a mission. Hurry up and pack your things and come up. Our first mission is very important." Wesley said and began to help them move their things.
In the conference room, there was advanced electronic equipment. Phil Coulson showed the information. "A hacker organization called Tides has been releasing news about the Avengers recently. They claim to find the truth."
Everyone glanced at Wesley, who smiled and shook his head. "Just some extremely selfish people."
"Our target is not them, but a man who has recently appeared. He seems to have the power of a superhero. We need to find him. As for how we find him in the future, it depends on the situation. And we tracked down a member of the 'Tide Rising' organization. She has been releasing news about this man recently. Do you understand now? This hacker has the information we want. Melinda, let's go now."
The plane took off. Wesley called the plane a flying base. Sitting in the living room, he poured himself a drink and then told some stories about the Avengers. Fitz and Simmons listened with interest.
The plane was moving fast. As they chatted, the plane had crossed the United States and landed at a military airport in California.
"Wesley, come with me to bring someone back." Phil Coulson got up and said.
The two of them drove away and entered the city, heading towards the target they had long discovered, although this target was deliberately discovered.
S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters did not use Elizabeth. Only the mothership was in use. Wesley could understand this as a security need. S.H.I.E.L.D. would not use the smart system he had developed everywhere unless one of their own people developed it.
There was a van parked in an alley. They walked towards it. Outside, they could hear a woman talking in an impassioned language.
Phil Coulson pulled open the door to the middle of the van. The woman inside was surprised for a moment, then laughed awkwardly because she had just said, "You'll never find us."
A black balaclava. Wesley put it directly over her head, then propped it up and pulled it into their car. It was a simple and crude way for agents to capture people. Wesley did not like it, but it was indeed simple and effective.
No matter what she said along the way, Wesley and Phil Coulson didn't say a word as they drove back to the airport. The walls of the interrogation room on the plane were specially made. Wesley knew about S.H.I.E.L.D.'s technology, which was generally targeted at superhumans like them, and there was no problem holding ordinary people.
After bringing the prisoner into the interrogation room, Wesley removed the hood from her head and then sat her in a chair.
"You guys made a mistake," she said as soon as she sat down.
Wesley just smiled. The future Vibration Woman was now a bold hacker who actually wanted to break into SHIELD to steal information. She was really bold.
Wesley did not invade her memory. He was still interested in Vibration Woman, but he had no intention of using his powers until Phil Coulson made a request.
"What's your name?" Wesley asked.
"Skye," the woman hesitated and then said.
"Not a bad name. So why did you join Tides?" Wesley began to lead the interrogation. He didn't ask for information directly, but it was as if he was chatting.
"If you want to know the truth, your S.H.I.E.L.D. is hiding a lot of secrets. The New Mexico incident, the New York Harlem incident, and of course, you will also hide the Centipede Plan."
Wesley smiled, then asked, "Does any of this have anything to do with you?"
"Why doesn't it matter? Aliens and monsters appeared on Earth. Don't we have the right to know?"
"And?" Wesley continued.
"Then… then we can…" Sky was speechless. She really hadn't thought about what would happen next. Who would?
Wesley shook his head and said, "You're a selfish bunch. You all have good computer skills. Why don't you get a formal job? It doesn't matter if you don't have a degree. The point is that you have the skills. A high-paying job isn't difficult, but you just have to do nothing and look for the 'truth.'"
"We have a right to know."
"Hehe, your 'right to know' has spread countless dangerous information. Do people really want to know this? Of course, I don't deny that some people want to know, but there are also people who don't want to know, right? Ordinary people think about how to live every day instead of the world being destroyed or the interstellar war. What is everyone thinking about the recent Battle of New York? Some people like the Avengers, and some don't, but so what? They are there. They exist. Can they be erased?"
Sky frowned in thought as Wesley spoke again. "You want to know the truth, so have you thought about whether they need privacy? So what if you dig them up? Mr. Tony Stark is there. He's Iron Man. What do you want to do?"
"What about the big green thing?" Sky asked curiously.
"I won't tell you unless he agrees himself, but I can tell you that I'm part of it."
Skye looked at Wesley more closely and then said in surprise, "You are Wesley Gibson, the developer of TT?"
"That's right. I personally like the life of an agent, so I joined S.H.I.E.L.D. My code name is 'Sir'. You should have seen it at the Battle of New York."
"Indeed I have. You are the black Iron Man."
"It's not Black Iron Man. Like I said, I'm Knight. Iron Man only has Tony." Wesley looked at Sky and said again, "Now I'm here. What do you want to say and do? You dig up my privacy, so can I sue you?"
Sky was stunned. Hackers like them had always been very proud of themselves. They used their skills to dig out other people's secrets. There were pros and cons to this kind of thing, but it was ultimately not in line with the law.
"You have the right to know and I have the right to privacy. So how should we deal with such a contradictory problem?" Wesley pressed again.
"I don't know."
"Do things without thinking about the consequences. Am I right to say that? And hacking into SHIELD and stealing information. You have broken at least a dozen laws now. Am I right?"
"So what do you want?" Sky was speechless, but Wesley didn't think she was really convinced.
"There was an explosion not long ago, and you were at the scene and filmed it. Do you know who that person is? And what does the centipede plan mean?"
"Hehe, there's nothing you can do with my notebook, right?" Sky laughed proudly.
Wesley looked at her solemnly and then asked, "Are you showing off your skills?"
Sky was shocked. Wesley, who had been smiling, suddenly looked at her seriously, which caught her off guard. Wesley ignored her thoughts and stood up to leave. Phil Coulson stood aside and said, "Since you know his name is Wesley Gibson, you should know that he is not unfamiliar with computers."
A moment later Wesley came in, Sky's notebook in his hand. The notebook had been activated. Wesley put it on the table and pointed the monitor at Sky. On it was the official video of Sky. The notebook had been opened.
"Using GPS encryption. Not a bad idea, but it can't stop me. Can you say it now?"
