"What about your arm?" She asked.
That wasn't the only thing that was wrong with his offer but it was a major concern. He might say it's better now but the fact that something happened to it meant it wasn't the same any longer.
He narrowed his eyes, "Thank you for your concern but I already told you it hurts no more."
"Are you sure? I don't want you to strain yourself on my behalf," she whispered.
She could tell that he didn't like the fact that she thought he wasn't capable of getting her to the castle but she would rather bring this up and piss him off than an accident occurring while they were heading home.
"I assure you this is more for my benefit than it is for you. I don't think I will last if we have to stay in another cave."
Mauve looked at Jael as realization dawned on her. He probably didn't get any sleep the night because unlike she who had used him as a bed, he had slept on the hard floor.
