"I was lonely all the time, the queen…" she paused, looked away, and cleared her throat. "My mother was busy most of the time and I didn't have a lot of friends so I was mostly by myself."
"I see," Jael said and went quiet.
Shocked at the silence Mauve turned her head to the side so she could see his face. His head was resting on the pillow with his arms behind them and his eyes were closed.
She frowned slightly as she stared and him and he lifted one eyelid to look at her. She moved closer and rested her chin om his chest and stare at him.
"I didn't interact very much with my siblings, I wonder if it was the age difference." She closed her eyes knowing it was more of the fact that they were half siblings than the age difference. However, she couldn't tell Jael this.
It had hurt to deny her mother, it would be a mess if she ruin things now. Besides, he didn't seem particularly interested and his response had pissed her off.
