Chương 88: When Powers Collide

He snaps the chain in a high arc, bringing it down toward me. I easily deflect the chain with a look of disgust. When the air around us swirls, we both turn to find Bolin walking out of the darkness. Weimin curses and asks, "Are you here to stop me?"

Bolin gives him a dark smile before saying, "Of course not. I'm here to watch my woman take what's owed to her. I'm just here to enjoy the show." Weimin blinks, not entirely sure what to think as he looks between Bolin and I.

Bolin pulls out a seat and sits down, looking relaxed. Weimin glares at him in annoyance before saying, "Enough!" He whips the chain at me but as soon as it tries to touch me, it shatters into a million pieces.

Weimin's mouth opens as he watches the pieces slowly fall to the ground like snow. He looks back at me and I can see it in his eyes. He was second-guessing his decisions, but it was too late for that. It was too late for regret; it was too late for all of it.

He may have walked in here on his own two feet without any problems, but he won't be able to do the same with leaving. No, the only way he's leaving is by my hands. As if realizing that he was now trapped within my web, he slowly lowers the other chain and says, "You knew..."

I give him a small smile as I play with my nails and say, "Yes, I knew. I knew that you had brought half the imperial army here and was trying to sneak up on us. Did you like the greeting I prepared for you all? You see, I know how cowardly and snake-like you are now so this time I won't underestimate just how low you'll go to get what you want."

He looks down, his eyes flashing back and forth in thought before snapping back to me and asking, "Why him!?" He points to Bolin with anger twisting his features. I smirk, "Hah... I mean, look at him. How could I not? But behind all that is someone you could never come close to being. You lost before you even tried."

Bolin blinks in surprise before giving Weimin a smug look. I'll never hear the end of this later, but I want to crush Weimin in every way possible. Even if that meant inflating that one's ego. Weimin quickly snaps the chain, straight for Bolin.

Before it can touch him, I shatter it. Bolin doesn't even flinch, he remains sitting in his seat with that same smug look on his face. If anything, his hair blows back a little. Weimin unleashes his power, charging straight at me.

For the record, I can't compete with the strength of a man but with magic? Who needs muscle strength? His first flies straight at me, covered and dripping with his power. I quickly summon my magic, lifting my hand and pushing the magic out.

As soon as my magic and his power collide, he goes flying back! When his back hits the ground, it knocks the air out of him. He gasps for air, quickly sitting up as I lazily walk toward him. I want to show him just how weak and powerless he really is in the face of real power.

I want him to know what it feels like when someone toys with you. Just like he had done with me.

He glares up at me with a red face, quickly summoning his power. As soon as he tries to hit me, I use my magic to deflect it right back at him. He flies back again, slowly sliding to a stop with blood dripping from his mouth.

He lifts a hand to his chest, pain contorting his features as I continue to calmly walk after him. When he looks up at me, I finally see what I want. Fear. He's finally looking at me with fear. I smirk, saying, "Do you get it now? You are nothing more than a child in terms of strength. How does it feel to be on the receiving end of it?"

He grits his teeth in anger as he yells out, "Just kill me then! What are you waiting for!?" I come to a stop, staring down at him with a condescending look as I say, "I told you that I came to collect what you owe me as well as interest. You want me to kill you already? Hah... I'm not that kind. We've only just begun."

"What should we do next? Breaking bones? internal pain? Peeling your skin off? No no, I feel like that would end you too quickly. We should start with something even better." I lift my hand, using my magic to call forth a ball of black.

Weimin's eyes flicker to the black ball with fear and asks, "What the hell is that!?" I look at the black ball before looking back at him and calmly saying, "It's called cancer. Where I'm from, it's killed millions before magic was able to control and stop it. The thing is, it's slow and painful but I'm short on time so I'm going to give you an advance form."

I lift my hand, blowing the black ball towards him and even though he tries to stop it, it quickly absorbs into his body. His entire body shudders with pain and his skin takes on a sickly look. Before he can even adjust to the pain, I kick his foot.

His ankle and knee snap, causing him to scream in agonizing pain. I tilt my head, watching him with cold eyes as I say, "This type of cancer eats away at your bones, making them brittle like glass." I kick his other leg, causing it to snap in several different places.

He cries out grasping at his legs as he starts begging, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Please! Please stop!" I watch him coldly as I say, "I asked you to stop as well but you ignored my pleas. Why would I give you mercy when you showed me none?"

He tries to swing at me but his elbow snaps, causing his arm to hang at a painful angle. He screams with tears running down his face. He falls back on the ground, afraid to move as I step closer, looking down at him with cold eyes filled with bloodlust.

I tilt my head with a small smile as I say, "Now this is more like it. This is more like how you should look. Like a worm, withering in pain on the ground, begging for mercy you don't deserve." He tries to summon his power again, but the cancer has eaten away at his body making it impossible.

He coughs up more blood, sounding almost like he was drowning in his own blood. I take a step back with a look of disgust on my face. I wipe at my black dress as I say, "I can't even be bothered to touch you. It's just as easy to kill you this way but I feel like it's not enough."

I wave my hand over him, removing the cancer. He shudders, trying to roll over but his legs and arm are still broken. He still manages to grab the ground with his good hand and slightly drag himself, but a snail would move faster than him at the moment.

I slowly walk beside him as I tap my chin and say, "I think another disease is in order." I lift my hand, waving it over his body and watching him shudder again. Boils and skin lesions instantly begin popping up.

He cries in pain as he screams, "Mercy, please... no more!" I watch him without an ounce of sympathy as I say, "I don't show monsters mercy. The second you do; they turn on you." I take a step back, unleashing my magic on him.

Setting him on fire without actually burning him. But to him, it actually feels as though he's burning, and his flesh is melting. I slowly lift my hand, bringing out the Artifact. I call off the flames and the disease as I say, "Even though this could go on, I'm no longer getting any satisfaction from this. To be honest, I thought you'd fight more than this. How disappointing. Killing you would be a mercy you don't deserve. Do you see this?"

His eyes struggle to focus on the Artifact as I squat next to him and continue, "I was trapped in this hell for what felt like an eternity because of you. It's only right you get to experience the same thing for eternity."

You couldn't recognize him any longer and there wasn't a spot on his body that was left untouched, yet I never actually touched him. I never wanted to touch this sick freak again. He tries to say something but doesn't have the strength to.

I use my magic to suck him into the Artifact and seal it once again. I look down at the black stone with a complicated look. I use my magic to put the Artifact away and stand up. I use my magic to clean the area of his blood and anything that may remain of the disease.

The smell of blood hangs in the air as it starts to snow. I turn to find Bolin behind me, watching me with knowing eyes. He reaches out and cups my cheek as he says, "You went easy on him."
