Chương 63: Not Creepy
Tempest Capital,
Rimuru's Office,
Galahad POV,
Galahad looked at the golden chalice in his hand before giving out a long sigh. A few days ago he had made a new mansion for himself after Nero destroyed it and yes it was extremely comfortable, as expected! He and Raphael worked together on it! There was no way it wouldn't be comfortable!
[Sigh...]
Galahad yawned, it can be disappointed all it wants but that was what he was going to use it for! Back to topic! He eventually got bored and seeking entertainment, he started bugging Rimuru alongside Milim for something interesting though Milim had already left by now most likely to go over to Clayman's. On that note for some reason each time he remembered the part where Clayman punched Milim he felt like tearing him apart, note that this was something rare for someone lazy to the point where he isn't even bothered by someone insulting him.
He shook his head and looked at the chalice again wondering why it wasn't working. Rimuru who was working at his table curiously looked over, this guy was a pain less than Milim but a pain nonetheless but for some reason he had been staring at the golden chalice in his hands for a while now. Rein who was standing behind him glanced at it, she knew that thing's power because according to her Master it snatched Nero from another dimension or maybe even reality.
Rimuru looked at it and curiosity got the better of him, "What's that in your hands?" he asked curiously looking at the Holy Grail. Galahad glanced over, "An....omnipotent wish granting..device....though for some reason it isn't working." telling Rimuru posed no problem because for now no one except Galahad could even use it. On top of that, "Come on man, be serious." Rimuru said sighing at Galahad's words, it wasn't like Rimuru would believe him anyway.
Galahad shrugged, whether Rimuru chose to believe him or not was up to Rimuru not Galahad. He dissipated the chalice and looked up before slightly smiling, Shizue was here again. Rimuru slightly tilted his head in confusion, "What happened?" he just started smiling for no reason! That smile is creepy! "It's not...creepy....dick." Galahad said yawning, Rimuru was quite a readable person couple that with Galahad perception and it was easy to figure out what Rimuru was thinking.
Rimuru clenched his fist and nodded,.....this guy could read minds! That abaility to know his thoughts was too uncanny, it doesn't matter that Great Sage says it can't detect anything like that. Galahad chuckled at Rimuru, even if he used a mental attack Great Sage wouldn't notice it. "So when...are you leaving for Dwargon?" Galahad asked pouring himself a drink from a bottle that came out of only Galahad knows where. "In a few days I guess." Rimuru replied as he got back to signing papers.
Rein looked at the slime which was in it's human form and smirked, these were the type of men who get cucked! Unlike her Master who didn't even give a flying f**k about it, which meant he trusted them that much! Yes only that, well that was already confirmed so no need to fret over it, "Heh cuckold femboy." she said quietly while smirking. Galahad of course heard her and started quietly laughing while looking away.
Rimuru looked up, "Hmm what happened?" he asked curiously wondering why the pair was silently laughing while looking away from him. Galahad waved his hand, "N-Nothing.." he said looking away even more, indeed Rimuru was a guy but he was also extremely lazy about this so Rein sort of made sense? "Now I'm curious tell me." Rimuru asked looking straight at him, work was boring! He was up for a joke or two. "Just...thinking about...how you're lazy." Galahad said yawning and shushing Rein who instantly stopped laughing. "I don't want to hear that from you!" Rimuru shouted in protest, Galahad was possibly the laziest person he ever met! Rimuru was diligent!
Not even a few minutes passed before the doors were thrown out of the window by the sheer force with which they were opened and revealed a Shizue who was looking at the damage. "Te-he!" Shizue said bonking her head, it wasn't her fault! Ok she may have gotten a bit too excited but still it wasn't her fault! She looked at Galahad who had a slight smile on his face and then at Rimuru who was just confused by her sudden arrival.
Rimuru tilted his head confused before a slight excitement welled up inside him, maybe she came here to visit him! BUT! Reality is often disappointing because Shizue ran over to Galahad and gave him a hug, "I missed you!" she said happily, it doesn't matter if it had only been a month! Galahad slightly chuckled and patted her head, "Me...too." he was happy too, though don't mistake it the only feelings he held for her were of parental love. He couldn't see her in that light because he was the one who literally raised her, he looked at Rimuru who was giving him a questioning look and gave him a thumbs up.
Rimuru despite his shortcomings was no doubt a good man, he had seen that for himself over the past few weeks and for that reason Galahad had no problem handing over his beloved 'daughter' to him. They were destined for each other no? Then if Rimuru can make her happy then as her 'father' even if not her real one, Galahad would be overjoyed. "Umu!" she nodded with a bright smile before looking at Rimuru and slightly blushing embarrassed with her actions. Galahad smiled looking at her, a genuine smile not a slight one an actual one. She was his 'daughter' and if someone dares to go against that then they can fight him! And you can bet he won't be holding back in the least!
Rein looked at her Master's smile before frantically looking around for something to record it, these were rare! She was captivated by it! She grabbed onto a paper and pen from Rimuru's desk and turned to draw it....but alas it was now gone! She fell on her knees and cried out in protest, "Noooo!" what a loss! The three of them looked at her confused, what was wrong with her?
Rimuru clicked his tongue, he saw that smile too! This guy was a damn ikemen! He can burn for it, even though lazy he could do anything if he wanted and so a pretty face wasn't all he had either! Damn riajuus! Galahad slightly smiled at Rimuru who was slightly blushing and patted his houlder, "Don't worry...I support you....though look at another woman.....and." he said tightnening his grip and smiling again though this time, Rimuru sweatdropped, a demon! He might be in danger.
Shizue's blush deepened, "Mou! I don't need you to do this!" she said pouting and folding her arms. Galahad sighed and shook his head, she was just in her rebellious phase! That was it, he definitely wasn't useless now that she had grown up! He yawned and started asking Shizue about her days in the academy.
So Shizue started her tale, though she noticed that Galahad would become slightly uneasy when she mentioned Yuuki during the tale and so she chose to avoid mentioning it because it made him uncomfortable. What's the point if she makes Galahad uncomfortable? Rein was standing behind Galahad sulking about a missed opportunity while whispering something about how child abuse was the best way to go.

Yuuki sighed sitting in his office, he was now working non stop to determine who itw as exactly that had made Galahad do that. He refused to believe that someone who had been by his side for 15 years would betray him. For now World Domination was on hold, he would have revenge for his friend, companion, teacher and the person who was like his older brother. For that purpose he had taken over the underworld, sunk his claws into the Eastern Empire as well as established the organization Cerberus whose communication network allowed him to know almost every thing that goes on.
He looked out the window, people were going about their days with their families. "Hey ain't it time ya give up?" Laplace asked him sitting on the desk, he knew Yuuki was blinded but they would obey him. That was their contract after all, left behind by Kazaream himself(Forged by Galahad but they didn't need to know that). He smiled at Laplace, "Give up on what?" he asked smiling as if nothing was wrong, he now had an agent in the Demon Lord Council too but he needed to wait for now. The Fourth Demon Lord was an enigma and he could feel that there was some connection between him and Adrian/Galahad.
"Ye know what I'm talkin' bout man, just...you'll get yerself hurt." Laplace said standing up, Adrian was a traitor but Yuuki refused to accept that and only forged through believing it was some form of mind control or blackmail, though Laplace wasn't sure Yuuki could even go on if he realized the truth. "He betr-" Laplace was cut off by a heavy aura, "Don't say another word, I'll rip off your head." Yuuki said coldly staring at him. Laplace shook his head and dissipated into the shadows, he would just do his job.
Yuuki touched his cheek, before clenching his fist in rage, there was now way Galahad would betray him! He would ask that woman for information next, as an esper he could feel she was hiding something from him! He didn't even realize his thoughts were being warped and twisted as he went on.
