Merona anxiously paced around in her chamber, she could no longer keep up with all the bad news flooding in on her just in one night. At first it was reported that her brother, Edwin had been killed in the battle, then about the crown Prince's soldiers being released. She hadn't expected Hamon to overpower her overnight. He had attacked unexpectedly. If only he had given her a little more time before he attacked. She would have made Cassius king already.
