Chương 395: Peter Parker's Frustration

This time, travelling through the timeline not only successfully defeats the formidable Thanos but also comes with rich rewards.

Bruce Wayne glanced at them and said, "Clark, Diana, I suggest you use these 400 points to purchase a mission system. It's a bit expensive, but it will allow us to do missions together in the future."

"A mission system? Can we buy it in the point store, just like Peter's mission system?" Tony Stark asked curiously.

"Yes, you can buy it in the point store, but it's a bit pricey at 399 points. It's slightly different from Peter's system. His player data panel is more comprehensive and has more permissions. What we're buying is only the part related to the mission system," Batman explained.

In fact, Bruce Wayne had been considering this since their first time travelling through time to complete missions. It took some time and effort to find what he was looking for in the point store.

Once players purchased this mission system, they would be able to team up and go on missions in different timelines.

With this, their organization in the multiverse, the Defenders Alliance, would truly live up to its name.

Of course, the biggest challenge in front of the players was earning points. Getting points from the Quiz game was too difficult; it was mainly for rewards.

Now, it seemed that completing missions was the right way to earn points.

Under Batman's guidance, Iron Man, Captain America, and others found the mission system in the point store and didn't hesitate to purchase it.

The price of 400 points was indeed steep, but considering the potential returns, it was an investment worth making.

Tony Stark complained, "The point store's interface is terrible. Searching for items inside is time-consuming, and there's not even a search bar!"

Captain America agreed, "You're right, I find it troublesome to search for things, and the sorting is unstable. Sometimes, the items I find disappear after a refresh."

After chatting for a while, they bid farewell to each other. Steve Rogers stayed behind to watch over the headquarters, while the others went their separate ways.

Peter Parker had it relatively easy since the headquarters of the Defenders was in his world.

He left the building and hailed a taxi downstairs, planning to go to work...

Yes, Spider-Man still followed the original timeline's development and became a reporter at the newspaper, albeit a different one.

Due to his identity being exposed by the Quiz game, he had a significant influx of traffic for a while. Entertainment companies even approached him to star in movies.

But now, Spider-Man's popularity has waned quite a bit because the future revealed by the Quiz game was unrelated to him or his world.

People now preferred the Spider-Man from the other timeline(Tom Holland version), thanks to the exposure of the Quiz game. But Peter Parker(Tobey Maguire) didn't mind.

He cared about fighting criminals and upholding justice, and now, with the rewards from the player data panel, Peter was enthusiastic about swinging around the city and fighting crime.

"Our world is much more peaceful than Mr. Stark's place!"

Peter Parker donned a hat and a mask to conceal his identity, going unrecognized by the taxi driver. He casually observed the bustling street outside.

Pedestrians bustled by, and the traffic flowed ceaselessly. There was a sense of serenity amid the chaos, perhaps the world's version of fireworks.

Peter felt a deep sense of accomplishment in his heart. He had contributed to this peaceful and flourishing societal atmosphere.

Ever since his identity as Spider-Man had been exposed and he had been rewarded through the player data panel, Spider-Man had been enthusiastically swinging through the city and confronting criminals in various ways.

Besides doing justice, he also gained experience and rewards. It was truly the life Peter Parker had dreamed of.

Under his daily high-intensity work, the security situation in New York City had improved significantly, though the dark side still existed. It was much better than before.

Looking at the Avengers next door, they had frequent major incidents - invasions from dark dimensions, alien invasions, and Thanos invading. It was always so eventful!

"I hope this kind of life can continue, that would be great," Peter Parker muttered to himself. The taxi driver, still fiddling with the radio, casually said, "Have you watched the recent Quiz game livestream? You must have!, right?, those Avengers are awesome, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor... I envy that world so much. Unlike our world, we only have a fake Spider-Man."

"Uh..." Peter Parker felt a bit awkward.

"Spider-Man here isn't fake; it's just a parallel timeline..."

The driver interrupted him, "This is the real deal! our world is just too boring. It's always so dull here. Honestly, if I could time travel, I'd want to live in the world of the Avengers!"

Heh...

Peter Parker rolled his eyes internally. He thought, "If you actually went there, then a snap from Thanos, and you wouldn't even know how you died."

Isn't peace and tranquillity in society a good thing?

And how did I become a fake?

Peter Parker sighed but didn't bother to continue arguing with the driver. The driver was still going on about how those Avengers were true superheroes with organization and support, while their Spider-Man was just a loser.

He listened with a headache, wanting to get to his destination quickly.

Unfortunately, the traffic in New York City was terrible today, and it took him a while to reach the newspaper company where he worked. Amidst the gridlocked streets, the driver suddenly exclaimed in astonishment, "I've heard rumors that the Fake Spider Man also works at this newspaper office..... Oops sorry, Please don't tell him anything about me. I don't want to return home to discover spiders dangling from my windowsill."

Peter Parker couldn't help but roll his eyes at the driver's paranoia. He didn't possess the luxury of time to entertain such notions, nor was he overly attentive.

After settling the fare and exiting the vehicle, the driver expressed his dissatisfaction, grumbling, "Is this the best tip you can offer, man?"

"You see, if we could have a quiet ride without unnecessary chatter, I might become more generous."

Peter Parker shut the car door firmly behind him, and as he witnessed the driver's pained expression, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief.

Just then, a golden beam of light suddenly descended from the sky, enveloping him. The Quiz game was about to begin!

The driver, initially planning to turn around and leave, immediately hit the brakes, got out of the car, and started filming Peter Parker with his phone.
