" Please, spare my child!"
The woman knelt on the hard wooden board to plea for her child's life. The girl looked at her mother who has been ruthlessly assaulted by the pirates with fury blazing in her eyes.
The hatred of the girl was merrily candlelight next to the flames of the cannon which harvested tens of lives in the sea. The helplessness of the weak was deeply engraved in her soul as she saw her father's death and mother's shame with bloody eyes.
" Chehaha, tell me where is the masterpiece of yours and I will spare your child's life."
The captain laughed, kicking her in the stomach. The woman quickly wiped her blood and white thing that was oozing out from her clothes as she crawled to the old room. The room light was weak and gloomy, nevertheless, it was enough to illuminate 3 to 3 rooms.

With a press of her finger, a magic circle was immediately lit up, summoning a pistol with a sign of deep tides on its body. The oppressive feeling of the great weapon excited the man as he took it from her hands.
" Finally, a weapon worthy of my voyage. I will treasure this weapon and I will honor my promise "
The man whispered in the dark, blowing out the remaining light from the candle. He looked at his men with a satisfied look and pointed at the woman with an evil grin.
" Do it yourselves and clean up afterward. Don't touch the girl, otherwise, you will be dead meat."
He warned in a cold tone, accepting their request as well as honoring his promise to the woman. Although he swore that he would show mercy to the girl, the woman was a pain in the side, so he chose to end her here. Hence, there was nothing more satisfying than loyal subordinates who had filled their lust and a weapon that he had got.
" Gesha, run!"
The woman desperately shouted, knowing her imminent diminish. She knew she was beyond any help and her only goal was to save her last blood and flesh on this planet while distracting these brutes.
" Mother!"
Gesha cried out sadly, running out with her all might. Clawing out through the wooden door while being covered with blood and filth on the ground. The only thought of staying alive revolved around her head, causing adrenaline to rush through her veins.
" Leave the child and do the job. I will give you an hour to finish."
The captain said with a smirk, walking out from the house when he could heard a scream of agony and a moan from the brutes. This was just a normal day for the islands and he didn't know this would change his destiny forever.
A few days later in the ocean.
" Look up ahead boys. We are entering the lawless zone."
Mendes said coldly, putting down his binoculars. The harsh sun coupled with the sound of tides raised his vigilance as he knew this zone turned into outlaw after the death of the former pirate lord of the area.
" Captain, there is a barrel floating ahead. What should we do?"
The scout said loudly, raising discussions among the crew members. They argued whether they should check the thing or not. Some said this was an obvious trap while others said there could be some resource inside it since the merchants tend to leave their burden on the ocean.
" We should check it out. Who would even dare to mess with us in this ocean?"
Mendes laughed, gesturing his men to pull things up. The crew members threw a rope to the ocean and pulled the barrel with rather ease. The smell of rotting barrels entered their noses, but this was nothing to those who take baths rarely.

They unlocked the belts and saw a girl who was shivering from the cold as she hugged her ration tightly. She was looking at them with hatred, knowing they were a group of pirates.
" A girl? Who are you?"
Mendes asked Gesha, believing she must have some sort of story since there was no simple person in this ocean who could throw themselves to the ocean with a barrel. It was a death wish.
" None of your business. Kill me or sell me, do your best!"
Gesha glared at them, thinking they would violate her, but to her surprise, the pirates laughed at her remark.
