The noise of footsteps could be heard in the hall filled with marvel. A young man who had black hair and brown eyes was walking in the hall while limping on one of his legs. He took out the breather from his pocket and breathed with it for a moment before returning to his arduous walk journey again.
His name was Andersen Philip, a young man who was working hard for the people of Crown despite his obvious defects. He loved creating things that were useful to the people the most and hated those who sell their inventions for profit. Thus he earned the youngest genius title in the kingdom with his virtue and kindness.
Everyone praised his magnificent heart and mind with the largest smiles that they could form. He was a truly beautiful soul to the people as they depicted them as a true hero despite his young age.
Contrary, the businessmen of upper echelons hated him for his guts. He continuously provoked them by giving away things that they considered income. Therefore, they did their best to exile him to the mines, but that bore no fruit due to Thomas and Shane's intervention. The power of the two scientists was so great that even the council had to carefully weigh the details for their future. One was an aspiring scientist while the other one was an old council elder with the power of the strongest institutions in the country. Furthermore, Shane was an old fox who could see through their plots with ease since he had witnessed countless seat changes. Unless the council exile him to the mines or the slum, there was no hope for them to pull him off his throne.

Andersen opened the old dusty door and walked to the table which was filled with formulas that blueprint. He pulled the chair out and sat down while relaxing his tense body from the stress. He couldn't feel tired after working and traveling around the city with his weak body.
" Hmm, it should be alright, if I close my eyes for a minute."
He murmured while closing his eyes. The heavy drowsiness immediately embraced his mind as he fell into the land of dreams.
Creak*
A woman and a young man were peeking through the door with curiosity in their eyes. Especially, the young woman seemed to know about Andersen because she was holding an old blanket filled with patches. Although it was worn out, it was clean and folded which showed the heart of the woman. As for the young boy, he was holding the blueprint and pen. His eyes were filled with awe and respect for his idol.
" Isaac, don't make any noise. He might wake up from his slumber. We need to keep him safe and warm because he is a frail person."
The young girl said, tiptoeing on the way to him. She carefully placed the blanket on him and retreated to the door with haste. It was hard to tell whether she was just an assistant or an assassin who had mastered the art of stealth because she didn't make a single noise in this messy room.
" Got it, senior Jane. I will just leave it here with the memo. He should read it as soon as he wakes up."
Isaac whispered while backing off to the entrance. Although he wasn't deadly silent as her, one could see he was used to this kind of situation since he was walking very awkwardly and silently.
" Let's go. Let him sleep for a few hours."
Jane spoke, stealing a glance at him. She was worried about his health more than anyone in this laboratory because she was his only assistant and close person here. Other scientists except for Thomas, rarely visited his room.
Meanwhile, Andersen was having a great dream. In his dream, he was holding an object that closely resembled an octagon and it was shining brightly under his eyes.
" We did it, Thomas. We finally created a way to change the world."
Andersen laughed, looking back at his friend who always worked together with him. However, he couldn't find his trace in the bright light. No matter, how many times he turned his head around he couldn't find his silhouette.
