His face was the same as the God who was talking with his father. He was looking at him with a gentle expression.
"You remind me of your father. You have the wisdom of your mother and the talent of your father."
The God said while giving him a last gift of his. It was white hand wrap that appeared to have golden runes on them.
" You deserve this. I intended to give this to your father, but he was shadowed by his sin and he couldn't overcome it, but I see it from you. The compassion that burns deeply."
God handed him his gift as his voice faded slowly. Pi helplessly swung his arms to reach him, but he couldn't touch his clothes no matter what he did.
Chirp*
Pi opened his eyes with difficulty since he hasn't been resting that very well due to earlier divine revelation. His mind was consumed to converse with level 10 God. It was impossible to have a conversation with Gods unless they are powerful or apostles of God. However, Pi could chat with him thanks to his irregular physique and cultivation.
Pi looked around him and found three things laying on the ground near him. One was a pendant, the other was the hand wraps and the last thing was the vase. He got up from the ground and felt something in his chest. It was an old piece of paper that had his name on it.
" To my son.
If you are reading this that means I am dead.
First of all, I would like to apologize to you and Nana. I couldn't keep my word and I lost my life in my homeland, but I have tried my best to protect you. I am an apostle of war God and I have abandoned my duty to save people. Therefore, sooner or later I would probably be hunted by the other gods.
My son, I wanted to see your face and play with you. I wanted to teach you my martial arts and knowledge about the South. However, I couldn't do that.
Nana, I wanted to be the best husband. I wanted to clear my name and return to you to live happily, but I couldn't do that.
I love you from the deepest part of my heart. You are irreplaceable to me.
Love- Aula Perra."
Tears dripped from Pi's eyes because he could feel the emotion of his father through the letter. He could see the slightly yellow parts where his father's tears were dropped. He was crying and apologizing for his mistake.
Pi took a deep breath and looked up to the sky. Somehow the sky looked brighter than usual. His heart found the peace which he had been looking for. A slight bluish aura surrounded him, dancing around him to celebrate.
Pi dusted his clothes and turned around. He already found his objective now. He knew where he should go. His journey had ended here, no his emptiness ended here.
The grass around him grew longer and flowers bloomed around him. He let go of his attachment and he found tranquility.
" My parents couldn't see each other due to the revenge of the evil people. I will protect people like them from danger."
Pi muttered, straightening his back. He wrapped his hand with the wraps and headed back. This time he found his direction.
2 years later.
A man was holding a single stick to walk around. His face was calm as the sky and his eyes were deep as the ocean.
" Teacher, when will we be coming back to the temple?"
A young boy with a sword asked with curiosity. He had jet-black hair and a black outfit, unlike the traditional outfit. He had tied his hair and his sword was glowing ominously even though it was noon.
Pi chuckled while giving him a fist of love. He was amused to see the face of his student.
" Shaun, stop complaining about a little thing. I told you to chant the tranquility mantra."
Pi warned him with a calm tone. Shaun felt chills down his spine because he knew something bad will happen every time his master loses his smile or cool.
Shaun took out an old book from his backpack and chanted loudly. His voice was loud as the howl of the wolves.
