(3rd person pov, Izuku)

Izuku stood on the roof, silently watching the city below. They were all so happy, so happy with their quirks, no matter how useless they were.

They could have anything, from extended fingernails to something debilitating to them, but they would still find their chances to laugh at Izuku who didn't have a quirk.

Why? Izuku didn't have a quirk, but he more than enough made up for it in intelligence and hardworking nature. But no, all because he never had a quirk, had that specific bone in his pinky toe, didn't have a certain piece of DNA in his boy, he was shunned.

He was cast out, treated like dirt everyday by Bakugo and the rest of them. The teachers looked at him with impassive faces, trying to ignore the problem as if it weren't there, trying to ignore him like he was less than human because he didn't have a quirk.

As a kid he had been so vibrant, full of energy. Even after he was found to be quirkless, he still held onto the dream that he could become a hero. There was a narrow line between dreams and something which was impossible. One day, he crossed that line, and he realised that he could never become a hero.

No matter how hard he tried, what he did, there would be no reality he could ever become a hero. He was born inferior.

As the years progressed and the abuse got worse, Izuku slowly began to snap. He had thoughts of harming himself, ending his life because of how worthless and insignificant he felt. Luckily he managed to bring himself out of that cycle, and transformed the thoughts of harming himself to others.

Izuku made a promise to himself. He wouldnt die without making an impact on the world, without throwing one last 'fuck you' to everyone who treated him like shit. Izuku would get revenge on this society, this world for treating and making him the person he was.

They wouldn't pay attention to him now, but he was damn sure they would when he burnt the world to ashes. When they all looked at him, they would see the king of bones and ashes.

"Hahahahahaha!!!" Izuku started crazily laughing. Maybe those hero notebooks would be good for something! In his laughing high, Izuku failed to notice a purple portal come into form behind him, yellow eyes glowing intently.

(back to Akira pov)

It was a couple of weeks later when Akira was laying on the couch, Eri on his lap playing the latest hero fighting game on the Wintendo. It seemed she had become a big fan of heroes, especially after she was saved by one.

His phone started buzzing in his pocket. Grabbing his phone, Akira was slightly surprised at the name it showed.

Cathleen.

"Hello?" Akira said in perfect english. Eri looked up from her device with a confused look, like he was speaking gibberish, which he was, to her at least.

"Akira! Nice to see you again. I saw you on the news, well done, I'd expect nothing less from my student." Cathleen said with a prideful tone. There was a short period of silence, to which Akira heard Cathleen yawn.

"Cathleen, nice to speak to you again, did you call up to check on your favourite student?"

"Only student," She corrected. "And no, as much as I would like to talk and catch up with you, there's something much more important. There's been a lead in the Holysee Church case."

"I see." Akira said in a voice which betrayed no emotion. He set the confused Eri off his laugh and ruffled her hair before making his way to the bathroom.

"So, what is this lead?" Although Akira wasn't in America, he had certainly been following the news there for the past couple of months. Ever since the attack on Washington, the Holysee Church had been slowly spreading their power and influence on America, preaching their views to the masses. They had been slowly radicalising the American people with promises of power and authority.

Right now, the number one priority was to find the leader and put an end to them to bring America back to a period of peace.

"We found a lead. One of our informants who snuck in as a member managed to get some important details. I'm not too sure what this information is, but it's important as all top 10 heroes have been called for a meeting."

"That's good." Akira smiled. "Thanks for informing me. Anyway, I gotta go, have a little kid I'm babysitting, can't leave her to her own devices for too long."

He heard Cathleen laugh from the phone. "Your babysitting a kid, how did that happ–wait, we can talk about that later. I'm not just calling you to tell me Akira, i'm calling you to invite you to help us."

"Oh."

"Yeah, Oh. So, are you coming or not? Or are you gonna pass up on a once in a lifetime opportunity?"

Akira hummed thoughtfully. It didn't even take him a moment to arrive at his answer. "I'm in." He replied.

"Perfect, I knew you would say that. Book a flight to Washington by Monday, I'm sure you have enough money to pay for it by now." Cathleen advised.

"Ok…But where will you pick me up?"

Catheen laughed again. "Don't you worry about that. We have our ways." She said ominously. "I'll see you there Akira, and we can properly catch you. Gotta go now, bye."

When Akira unlocked the door, Eri was standing in front of Akira, her Wintendo console still in hand. She tilted her head with a curious gaze and asked: "What was that? And how were you speaking like that? Are you like one of those things I saw on TV? Are you an alien?"

Akira sweatdropped. "Uhhh…That's just another language, Eri."

========================

"Hahh…It's good to be back in America." Akira sighed as the burning sun hit against his face. He listened to sounds of the streets, of tourists booking taxis, of loud chatter, of the busy roads, it felt like a second home.

"Where to?" The taxi driver asked as Akira got in the car.

"Pennsylvania Avenue." Akira responded. If he wanted to let himself be found quicker, then the closer to the white house the better. His thinking was indeed correct, as it wasn't even 5 minutes before a black SUV appeared in front of him.

The windows rolled down, revealing a familiar face. "Get in." David said from the front seat.

"Not even a hi?" Akira sighed, opening the car door and sitting down, making himself comfortable. "So, where are we going? If I'm right, there's still a few more days before this so-called meeting."

"You're right." David deadpanned, confirming Akira's question. "But due to what happened on your last visit here, you're staying with me..." He didn't know whether to feel offended that David sounded sad.

"Ok." Akira grumbled. He knew David was a simple man, but when Akira realised that David lived in a basic apparently in Detroit, seemingly blending into society like any normal man, Akira knew his statement needed some reworking.

David was an extremely simple man. In all things.

His apartment was spotless in all things, looking like it had recently been cleaned for a new tenant. He had exactly 5 cups, 5 plates, 5 bowls, and 5 sets of utensils in his drawer, and his fridge was filled with healthy foods.

Akira gobbled down the meal of pasta that David cooked up to him. David sat beside him, eating slowly.

"So, why do you only have sets of 5 in your drawer? Is it like your lucky number?"

David shook his head. "I only have 4 friends. So why should I get anymore?" He said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"5." Akira corrected.

"What?"

"You have 5 friends now." Akira smiled, pointing towards himself.

David's head was down, twiddling with his spoon, but Akira could see a small smile forming on the corner of his lips.

"I guess I do."

A/N: Not gonna lie, the decision to make Izuku a villain came to me suddenly, I thought it would be good to spice things up.
